Darleys Ice Cream — Restaurant in Telangana

I'm a Defence officer and l happened to stop with my family to have icecream and chat at this place and soon realised that l stopped at a wrong place. The ambience from outside is very deceptive.

I'm giving a single star each for food,service and atmosphere.Though they don't deserve a single star too. Reason as appended below :-

We wanted to have icecream but the moment we opened the glass door,it felt like an oven, No AC in this enclosed seating area. The icecream was melted and the staff said the there was no power and hence melted. The ice cream staff was polite though. Hence we moved on to the chat section where we had a terrible experience especially with the chat staff. His name was Mustafa.

FOOD :- We ordered Papdi chat and Dahi poori which costs Rs 90/- each. However the quantity of papdi chat was so very, very less.The quantity is decided by their staff l guess.

Secondly the dahi poori became soggy as the staff didn't call us( self service ) soon after making,hence it became soggy. Probably because l questioned him about they not providing the fan in this hot summer season.

SERVICE :- Is below standard,reason,that there is not a single fan/ cooler for the guests who visit this food court. Its peak summer and even small restaurants and food courts provide fans for their guests,hence l said "deceptive ambience from outside ". When questioned about the non availability of fans in this hot summer ,their chat section staff ,namely Mustafa,misbehaves with me, stating " Madam hum bhi to garmi mein hai nah " how rediculous!! I didn't want to exaggerate the issue as l knew this guy Mustafa will further misbehave with me.Hence l thought l should pen down a review about this food court , which looks real good from outside but the reality of this place is completely different. It's not advisable to visit this place mainly because of their staffs behaviour ,who don't hesitate to misbehave with the guests.

ATMOSPHERE :- Atmosphere/ ambience looks very good from the road but inside story is just the opposite. No fans, rude and unruly staff. This is why l said " Deceptive ambience". It's not a very condusive place for educated guests. So please don't get carried away by the ambience from outside and avoid going to this place ,if you don't want to spoil your mood.

The owner needs to employ his staff who are polite to their guests and not such staff who misbehave with the guests. The behaviour of the staff directly effects the reputation of the food joint and should provide atleast fans for their guests.You cannot expect guests to have food ,sweating like hell till they finish their food.

This review is purely based on my experience to this food joint for the first time. This food joint is near to the Airport.

Awesome variety of ice creams and sundaes. sundaes are must try... Especially the ones with nuts. The staff is very helpful and courteous. The sundaes look colourful and are loaded with a lot of textures and taste! They have traditional as well as regular ice cream flavors... Kids as well as adults would love this...
