Country Style Non-Veg Lovers Unite in Kompally! I had heard a lot about Rajdhani from friends and how they prepare their non-veg dishes with some serious flavour. I chanced upon a quick lunch during a week day and residing nearby, decided to stop in with a friend. Ambience Truly can use an upgrade and segregate the dining areas from the food prep. Located on the service road right by the Kompally Railway bridge, make sure to exit just before hopping on the bridge or you will have gone too far. About 200 metres ahead, and right after the AHOY sign you will see a non-descript looking sign with a pan shop on one side. While we were parking our cars, the security person clearly asked us to park away from the empty entrance and we didn't see why? I realized on my exit when I saw many bikes parked and the line-up to get in. As you enter you see tiny pigeon like cubicles with basic plastic chairs and tables. On the way in too, I noticed some ladies sitting on the floor and cutting vegetables, etc.... and as I mentioned - would be nice if they have separated the kitchen bit or placed it further back rather than as you enter and exit. Food We ordered Bheja Fry, Pepper Chicken, Mutton Curry and a couple of rotis. The flavours were very good and the meat was soft and lovely. The masala on the bheja fry was truly special and worth a try. Additionally the batter used in the pepper chicken was excellent and reminded me a bit of the "Hotel Empire" kababs flavour from Bangalore. (Although much smaller and starter size pieces). The one thing was the quantity for the price could be more, which is probably my main feedback. We asked them to reduce the spice level and they obliged. Overall Definitely recommend for takeaway - not so sure about dine-in unless you are okay with very minimal and rural ambience. Definitely a must visit for non-veg lovers and particularly country like preparation...
Read moreOne of our close friends literally forced us to venture into this hotel, at first sight the hotel looks too ordinary to be an eatery in the first place as it does not have any fancy decor or ambience that is soothing for your eyes but when you look around you actually see that there is a big list of people who are on the wait list...this hotel is divided into small concrete rooms where 4-8 people can dine together at one go in each room...the small rooms remind you of school classrooms of zilla parishad & other government schools. But the best part is the moment you get space for your group, the service is super fast & amazingly the taste lingers on & stays with you for a longer period of time. The taste of food is good. This place is famous for non-veg cuisine but even vegetarians like us do not get disappointed. Surprising for us was when we wanted to tip the waiter who served us, he presented his own laminated QR code card and we actually smiled at his tech savvyness and the mindfulness to save on time as much as possible. There is an exclusive team which is completely dedicated to food-app aggregators like swiggy & zomato & you will be surprised to see so many orders coming in...
Read moreI visited this place for lunch with high expectations, primarily based on YouTube reviews. We arrived at around 12:30 PM and waited for 30 minutes to be served. Unfortunately, the experience was far from satisfactory.
The staff here exhibited extremely rude behavior throughout. When I asked for a menu, I was informed there wasn’t one, and the staff refused to tell me what was available. I approached the owner at the counter to report this behavior, and while he assured me someone would assist, the person taking orders responded rudely, even making threatening gestures with a knife during our conversation. This made me feel unsafe, which is a first for me in Hyderabad.
This experience highlights serious issues with staff behavior and customer service. I would strongly recommend that the management address these problems immediately. It’s also crucial for food vloggers and reviewers to encourage restaurant owners to improve not just food quality but also service standards.
@Hyderabad Police, I urge you to look into such incidents at dhabas and similar establishments to ensure the safety and security of customers. Instances like this could escalate and harm anyone who...
