Visited Camo Modern Cookhouse recently, and while the place has potential, my experience left me more disappointed than delighted.
Starting with the ambience, it is undeniably soothing — the interiors are chic, modern, and thoughtfully done. However, the music completely clashed with the vibe. Instead of complementing the calm setting, it was unnecessarily peppy and loud, making the experience feel off-balance. A little attention to curating the playlist could go a long way in elevating the space.
The service was decent — we were attended to promptly, and the server was courteous. I specifically asked for the chef’s recommendation, hoping to try something that the kitchen takes pride in. He came back with Smoked Rose Pasta (pink sauce), which I ordered with chicken. Unfortunately, this turned out to be the biggest letdown of the meal.
The pasta was overcooked and soggy,
The chicken was dry, rubbery, and chewy — so much so that I had to separate it from the rest of the dish.
The sauce was thick and gluggy, lacking any real flavor or finesse.
It was honestly inedible beyond a point, and I intentionally left more than half the plate untouched — a silent but clear message to the kitchen that something needs fixing. When a guest doesn't even bother getting the leftovers packed, it should be taken seriously.
The Korean Fried Chicken, our second dish, was bland and oversalted — no balance, no kick, no authentic flavor that you'd expect from something that claims to be Korean-style.
In summary, Camo looks better than it tastes. It's all shine but lacks substance. As a new restaurant, they seriously need to step up the quality of their food if they want to survive in a market as competitive as Noida. A pretty setting will draw people in once, but only good food brings them back. As of now, I’m not in a...
Read moreThe new restauranters if start to pay more attention on the quality of food and experiential service the chances of success be much more than just creating ambience. The Camo just falls in the category of creating good ambience but absolutely low quality food with poor service. We visited the place today evening ignoring our regular eatery Roastery.
We ordered Toamto soup, Cafe latte and Mocha. The soup was atrocious to drink. We left half of it. Mocha was passable. Cafe latte was ok. Then we ordered Yellow Dal and Masala cauliflower. Both the dishes were of very low quality in taste and flavour. We also didn't eat and left both the dishes. I don't think after having invested so much of money in creating the ambience the restauranters really paid attention in hiring quality Chef. The service was much worse. After a few reminders the water was served on the table. My mocha drink was kept on the bar tending table for long till we asked the bar tender to give it to me. The server was too raw to serve. The food came on the table but no plates were kept. Even the server was not trained enough to serve the food. In the food business the customer only comes once, it is your chance to win him over or lose forever. This restaurant has done the same. Lost me forever.
This place is perfect for young couple who have no taste for food or have not yet developed taste buds but to spend quality time by hanging out in good ambience.
Good luck...
Read moreWe visited Como on October 8 to celebrate a family birthday, with a group of seven people. The ambience was pleasant, and we chose the open-air seating, which was perfect for the weather. Unfortunately, our experience was affected by the service we received.
The main concern was with the waiter attending our table. Not only was the service slow, but there were repeated billing issues. Two dishes—soup and railway chicken curry—were added twice to our order, even though we clearly did not repeat them. When we pointed it out, instead of apologising or correcting the mistake, the staff insisted that we had reordered, which was not true.
A one-time error can be forgiven, but repeating the same mistake during the main course made it obvious that it was intentional. Most restaurants, in such cases, clarify or remove duplicate items from the bill, but here it was added without any courtesy or concern for the customer. The waiter’s attitude was impolite and adamant, which was extremely disappointing. While the setting and food were decent, the dishonest service and unprofessional behaviour overshadowed the evening. It’s unfortunate that such practices are followed, possibly to increase the bill amount. A memorable family celebration turned into a...
