Chutney Flakes-Best Restaurant in Saharanpur — Restaurant in Uttar Pradesh

This was 2nd visit. Since I was impressed with the preparation, presentation and the overall ambience of the place when I visited for the 1st time, I gave it a 2nd chance.

This time unfortunately, the food was okayish. Not upto the mark.

Staff is least bothered to serve you. You have to keep looking for them to make an eye contact so you can call them for any need.

The main thing - THE BILL. Mind you everyone, this thing was highly unexpected!

Ordered 4 items, the cheque was made for 5 items in total. The extra item was very cleverly put. It resembled the Chinese menu that we ordered (could have easy been looked past through had I not been a little aware).

Upon enquiring, the waiter's face seemed familiar with what had been done.

Got a new check and now the rate of the item ordered was changed from 179 to 199. Again, had I not been aware, I would have just looked past through it.

In order to embarass us in front of the other customers, he raised his voice into an authoritative tone while he said, "Madam, menu mein jo rate likha hai wahi lagaya hai. "

I said, "Ok. Yeh dekho menu. "

I showed him the menu but now he didn't want to see it since he knew what had been done. Then finally after waiting for 15 more minutes, I got the proper cheque, paid him, got my change and left.

We went there for our parents' anniversary. The food was good, and the place has an overall good vibe to it, but the seating arrangement could be better. Like there was an inside seating option and an outside seating option. The inside seating option was just like eating in a room, it had no interiors whatsoever to be interested in sitting there and dine. The outside seating arrangement could use some comfortable furniture, it was not very feasible to dine from a round chair on a round table. The only thing that made us sit outside was the light decoration done outside. The service was good, and the staff there made some good food recommendations. Main-course( dal makhani and handi panner) is good, but snacks( honey chilly potato, hakka noddles, spring rolls) are average. However service is bad. There is no provision of serving water in glasses. Small plastic water bottles for drinking are provided, which is not at all comfortable, especially for small kids and elderly people. Table is full of small water plastic bottles( which are chargeable and overpriced), not at all environment and pocket friendly. You have to ask for every small things like salt, onion, ketchup etc, which are basic things to be available on table when snacks and food are served.
