Hi, these peoples are shameless and have no ethics. Tonight on 24th September 2022 around 9 pm, me and colleague went to this Jain shikanji restaurant on merrut delhi bye pass road and ordered paneer tikka masala and tandoori roti. The food served to us but when we ate vegetable it was full of salt. I told this to the service boy, he tasted the vegetable and accepted the mistake. He put back the vegetable in the bowl from our plates and quickly came with fresh food again. We started again eating food and very shocked that the same vegetable was served to us after some fine tuning but still the taste was bitter. I asked the service boy to call the manager, he replied that he has gone. I told him to give the owner's number he gave me the mobile number of Mr. Rahul and said he is the owner but we came to know later that he is not the owner mere an employee. I called him many times and he picked the phone in 4th call and while talking to me he entered the restaurant and came to me. I told him everything and asked to taste the vegetable. He tasted and accepted the vegetable's taste is bitter and this is not etable. The service boy gave argument that I have immediately changed vegetable on complaint and put the bill in front of us near cash counter. Mr. Rahul also went in side the kitchen and didn't turn back. Inspite of their mistake these shameless peoples produced the bill for payment. We paid the bill and left the restaurant. I reccomend every one not to go such type of restaurant where no quality, no shame...
Read moreJain Shikanji is a fantastic vegetarian restaurant that serves some of the best Indian cuisine in town. The restaurant is located in a convenient area and is easy to find. The ambiance of the place is comfortable and inviting, with colorful décor and soothing music playing in the background.
The menu at Jain Shikanji is extensive and features a wide range of dishes to choose from. I had the privilege of trying their lunch buffet and was thoroughly impressed with the variety and quality of food on offer. There were several vegetarian dishes to choose from, including lentil soup, rice, vegetables, and bread. All the dishes were cooked to perfection and had a great blend of spices and flavors.
The standout dish for me was their chana masala, which was perfectly spiced and had a delicious tangy flavor. The breads, especially the naan, were soft and fluffy, and went perfectly with the flavorful gravies. The dessert options, including kulfi and gulab jamun, were a sweet end to the meal.
The service at Jain Shikanji was excellent. The waitstaff was friendly and attentive, always making sure that our glasses were full and that we had everything we needed. They were knowledgeable about the menu and made great recommendations.
In conclusion, I highly recommend Jain Shikanji to anyone who loves vegetarian food and is looking for a great dining experience. The quality of the food and the level of service make it a great value for the price. The next time I'm in the area, I will definitely be back to try more of...
Read moreIdlis: They better stop selling idlis here. Or may be it was my mistake to order idli at a North Indian restaurant! I suggest they name those as hard steamed rice cakes or something like that.
Sambhar: The chef had chopped drumsticks to such small sizes, that it couldn't be identified before spooning into mouth. It was so embarassing to remove un-chewable, hence inadvertently half chewed small pieces of drumsticks from mouth with a spoon or hand, infront of other ppl.
So you might as well avoid anything that is served with Sambhar here ie Dosa, Vada, may be South Indian Thali (if one menu here)
Jain Shikanji: Shikanji, I understand is lemonade. The only difference I could find in the lemonade served there and normal lemonade is amazingly high amounts of Jal Jeera powder. So let's say Jain Shikanji is Lemonade with lots of Jal Jeera powder. So if ever I have to order Shikanji (Lemonade) in such a restaurant (means, I will never go into one again), i will request them or just that. ie Shikanji and will make it clear to them what I want is Jain Shikanji without Jain (Jal...
