I had a really disappointing experience at this restaurant. From the moment we entered, we felt uncomfortable — the staff didn’t make any effort to welcome us or even acknowledge us properly. The seating arrangement was poor, and it didn’t feel like a place where you could sit and enjoy your time peacefully.

To make it worse, the service was extremely slow. We waited far too long for our order, and even then, no one seemed bothered to apologize or explain the delay.

When I tried to give honest feedback, instead of taking it seriously, they behaved like we were joking or just being dramatic — as if our feedback didn’t matter at all. It made me feel like they don’t care about their customers or their service at all.

My question to the owners and staff: How can you run a restaurant like this? If you don’t respect your customers, how do you expect people to return or recommend you?

Definitely not going back. I hope they seriously rethink their attitude...

Delicious food, prompt and courteous service, clean and hygienic place and basic functional washrooms. Situated right on the highway with an open patch of land right in front leads to a very open feel and works a s a beautiful stopover before the hill drive begins. We stopped once on way to Lansdowne because a friend had recommended it and loved the food so much that we again stopped for lunch on the way back to Delhi 2 days later despite having had a heavy breakfast of tawa Paranthas, Curd and butter. While their entire menu is good, the items worth a mention are Makki Roti & Sarson Saag, Dal Makhni and Tandoori Paranthas. The Chaas is thick and the Lassi is nice. They also have Masala gud which is served post meal which is tasty enough to not only relish but also buy and carry. Between 3 households we bought almost 3kgs of it. A highly...

Stopped by on the way back to Delhi from Lansdowne. Once you start the journey from Lansdowne then you can either stop at kotdwar for food or if you are not too hungry by then then this place is just after crossing kotdwar and the road before that is still under construction. The place has decent sitting space for around 50 people with an AC hall. We ordered parathas, noodles and thali. All of them were tasty and yummy. The size of paratha was one of the biggest I had at a dhaba till now. The quantity of vegetables in the thali was a little less. For desserts they have homemade kulfis which are also decent. Washrooms though stink a little and need improvement. Do stop by if you ever cross this place, you will not be disappointed.

Went to khaira dhaba on 24th june on our way back from kotdwar to moradabad. This is a decent punjabi restaurant. Despite being a Punjabi restaurant this is an all vegetarian restaurant which surprised me. The food was good and delicious. The price is also reasonable. The whole seating area has air conditioners. It also has restrooms which are nicely maintained. The service was also quick. Parking space is also decent. But as we went there during rains there were some insects that were flying outside the restaurant but they were not inside which was a relief. I would recommend that one can stop here for food and restroom break asking their journey.

I recently visited this Punjabi vegetarian restaurant while traveling to Kotdwar. The food was delicious and flavorful. We ordered Chilli Mushrooms, Kadai Mushrooms, Biryani, Kulfi, Lassi, and Tandoori Roti. Everything tasted great—my sister especially enjoyed the Biryani as it was mildly spiced. However, the Chilli Mushrooms could use some improvement. The restaurant offers plenty of seating and ample parking space. I’d definitely recommend stopping by if you’re traveling to Kotdwar or Lansdowne.
