The Kalika Hut is a restaurant that is an old favourite. However, it's lost much of its sheen in the last few years.

The preparations are OK. Not too great and not bad either. The mutton handi is full of a lot of oil. But it's taste is nice.

The staff is nice too. They explain you the dishes well. However, they need to be in touch with contemporary taste preferences. No one prefers highly oily cuisine. They should work on that aspect for one.

The restaurant gives a decrepit look. Not the more upmarket ambience like what one sees in restaurants like Babian in Indira Nagar itself and others nearby in Gomti Nagar and Mahanagar. Had ordered from Zomato - Chicken tikka masala dish from this restaurant, got bad smelling (rotten smell) chicken pieces, when complained to the restaurant, got no resolution, the exact words from the guy working in the restaurant was that me the customer was lying and that no bad smell was possible. Even when I agreed to drop by the restaurant to get a replacement for the dish, the restaurant was not cooperative and didn't agree to do the replacement as well. Complained to Zomato as well all they could do was provide the coupon of 100 Rs and told to write a review as a feedback on Zomato's app. Not going to order or eat again in this restaurant. I usually order online went thre for the first time and thank god i did !! ....went to indira nagar kalika hut...unfortunately a hair was in our mutton handi dish which they immediately changed but their kitchen area and toilet is adjacent n that is extremely unhygienic, insanitary and filthy. Very unprofessional, unclean and horrendous waiters n staff....you doubt me go see your self...paid their bill didn't gather the courage to eat... got it packed and fed mutton handi to dogs near my place and they seem to be very happy as i didnt tell them about the hair thing 🤪...so not able to post...
