Alessio's cafe and pizzeria — Restaurant in Uttarakhand

Saw the 4.2 rating on Google and chose this place for lunch.

My order and review for each item: Iced Americano - took more than 20 mins to come. It was ok, not too bad.

Kit Kat shake - good, we’d give it a 4/5.

Chilli mushroom - very mid. Low on flavour, high on corn starch, batter fried and generally not good enough.

Egg wrap - just an omelette folded inside a hot chapathi with some tomato and processed cheese-type of thing (not exactly cheese slice but something that probably came out of a tube or box). Still - as per my request they added a little bit of spinach, took out the onions. Overall salt and pepper was ok, so it was decent, so I ate it.

Spaghetti Aglio Olio with add-on chicken - it’s basically Hakka noodles in aglio olio style. Not spaghetti. It wasn’t bad, although it wasn’t what we expected. Cooked well, tasted decent.

Staff were friendly and kind, so we didn’t feel like complaining about the food too much.

I’d just say: If u r used to authentic flavours and dishes - keep ur expectations low when u order. It may not be what u expect. But taste isn’t bad (salt, texture, etc.), so one can surely find something or the other...

After reading reviews we went for lunch but found the food below average. We ordered chicken Mexicana pizza, chicken burger, fried chicken and coffee. One thing similar in all dishes was that it was bland. Generally Mexican food is spicy but our pizza was only suitable for kids. We literally used all the sauce & chilli flakes packets . If the pizza is good we never add the oregano or chilli but today we had to. Also chicken topping was very limited. We felt as if we ordered veg pizza with hint of chicken. The burger was okay but as earlier said very bland taste wise. Fried chicken was good in taste but serving is very small, only one person can enjoy it. The cook forgot to add sugar in our coffee and we had to request for it, again the server didn't give us spoon so we had to use the one with sugar only. Overall not very good experience as suggested by other reviews. We had high hopes as we love to dig in good food but this visit...
