Delighted to come across a collaboration between AMA and Bahrisons booksellers at the Mall of Dehradun. It's the perfect union of good food and books.
AMA always comes out with flying colours when it comes to the delectable food and coffee. All the dishes ordered were simply perfect. I enjoyed : Caffe Americano ( 1 is never enough) served at the right temperature the coffee never has a burnt after taste. Avocado mushroom toast had a generous topping of mashed avocados and creamy mushrooms.... The flavours were delicately balanced. Kasol Vegan Salad was a burst of freshness with sweet, tangy and robust flavours from a mustar based dressing. The caramelized nuts, apples and seeds along with a variety of greens gave it a lovely crunch. Basque Cheesecake with molten Nutella was delicious. Pecan pie was warm, wholesome and a winner. Matcha latte was comfortable in a cup. Grilled coleslaw cheese sandwich served with fries was buttery, cheesy and reminiscent of a satisfying home style sandwich. Almond croissant was the best we have tried in Doon. Nutty cookies were overloaded with nuts and were a perfect pairing with some hot coffee. Passion fruit bubble tea with Almond milk was delicious Watermelon mojita was refreshing The 4 cheese pizza was simply superb and brought out the diverse flavours of the different cheese delicately. The vegetarian platter was a winner with creamy mashed potatoes, grilled herbed cottage cheese, boiled vegetables, creamy mushrooms and more Mixed berry smoothie was the perfect sweetness Berry pineapple smoothie was delicious and the combined flavours of berries and pineapple were so very refreshing The Ama Fruit tart was again perfectly sweetened The chocolate eclair was rich and buttery. The French press ( Himalaya single orgin) best in Doon The mango matcha was unmatched. The lemon tart was delicious. Must try. The mushroom lava burger was filling and left us with a huge smile. Double chocolate cake was rich and had a balanced flavor. Parmarosa veg pasta was buttery, tangy and cheesy. Quite mouthful. Kiwi mojito was refreshing. Japanese cucumber Sparkler was a refreshingly falvourful drink with a unique taste. The Sweet vanilla cold brew was nice. Vanilla flavour could have been stronger. Molten cheese fries were mouthwatering. Farmhouse pizza was a must try. Ceaser salad veg was a bit bland and the croutons were a bit soggy.
The service was top notch. Special thanks to the gracious hostess Bhoomika and the efficient and pleasant server Sandeep Bisth. Keep up the good work. Your service with a smile adds to the dining experience. Service by Amit Rana was good. Shambhoo kumar is delightful. A word of Appreciation for chefs Ankit Chauhan and Shyam . Keep up the good work. Service by Deepak Panwar was excellent. Service by Saurav was very good.
The ambience is tasteful. The views are good. Seating is comfortable.

Read moreHave been living in Dehradun for 10 years and visited multiple cafes and restaurants, this is the worst experience ever. I suggest you not go to this place for food, because they don't serve. Called in for the waiter to give the order, who arrived 20 mins late Mr ashwani, after repeated calling. Ordered multiple dishes, out of which one drink Ama special Matcha, which taste horrible came after half-hour, and nothing arrived for 1 hour 15 minutes. Finally enquired about the food only to get the response that the chef is not available 😶 by some guy in red shirt calling him Captain, I have no idea what others have experienced at this cafe but the place sucks. Finally went to food court to have lunch after having waited for almost 2 hours. It looked as if the server was ready with the answer mostly bad excuse, not deliberately serving. Would rate this place a minus...
Also not kid and parents friendly.. I was setting with my family. And the table besides is was a couple doing inappropriate things openly... When I raise the issue with Red shirt guy who was calling him Captain as he's in mission of some power trip, told us that sir we can't stop them couple and you need to change your table if you feel uncomfortable... Wow... Such a unprofessional behaviour... Anyway I would make sure at least 10 of my friends not to come to this cafe... It's totally pathetic to waste here 3 hours...
Don't have much healthy options... They just feed you on artificial ingredients like in fresh fruit drink they make it with syrup or sugar.. coffee was good the himalayan roast americano but just as expensive like other things.. and they also feed you on pancakes which I think was also pre made somewhere else... I order banana pancakes and the other regular one both taste same not even a few texture and taste in banana pancakes ...Pasta Alfredo was just some white cream and not properly cooked pnne ..
Overall very bad experience guys Not recommended at all unless management take action and rectify those things as soon...
Read moreAma Cafe in Mall of Dehradun is absolutely amazing. The atmosphere is lovely, especially on weekdays when it's quiet and peaceful perfect for working, reading, or just relaxing. It can get a bit noisy during peak hours or when large groups come in, but that's to be expected in a popular spot.
Now, onto the food and drinks:
I ordered the iced matcha latte, and it was spot on perfectly whisked, smooth, and refreshing.
We also had the vegan Kasol salad something different and definitely worth trying. The caramelized walnuts give it a unique twist that stands out.
For dessert, we went with the triple chocolate cake and the apple pie both were absolutely delicious, rich, and satisfying.
The cappuccino was excellent too if you're a coffee lover or a bit of a coffee nerd, you'll really appreciate the quality here.
We tried the farmhouse pizza as well. It has a thin, crisp base, and while it’s not overloaded with cheese, it’s still packed with flavor. If you’re expecting something cheesy and heavy, this might not be for you but otherwise, it’s lovely.
Service-wise, it’s not the fastest they do take their time but the wait feels worth it. What I especially appreciate is that everything is freshly prepared, right down to the mustard sauce. There’s no sense of anything being pre-made or stored, and that freshness really reflects in the consistent quality.
Every time I visit, it’s the same great taste, and honestly, I fall in love with this place a little more each time.
If you're heading straight to Ama Cafe skip the main mall entrance and go directly to Parking Level P6 (6th floor) that’s the top floor of the parking area. From there, you can enter the café directly without going through the mall.
Plus, there’s an amazing view from up there, so it’s worth it for...
