This was my 2nd time visit to the resort with friends. Earlier I went with my family and liked the property very much as the stay was pleasant with the amazing behaviour. But to my surprise, I found a great degradation in the service and experience this time. First of all, a part of the resort is under construction which is close to the luxury rooms allotted to us. When I arrived at the resort, I could not see anyone at the reception and waited for someone to come. There was no one to welcome us :( no welcome drink was offered ( as mentioned in the package) after some time we were given the key to our rooms. When I went to the room, the room was not ready ( around 4:30 pm) washrooms were not cleaned after the use of the previous guests. Toiletries we're not there. A huge spider net was waiting to welcome us into the room. The room had dirty furniture and mats. When I ask them about this, The cleaning staff were sent to clean the room in front of us. We booked the resort well in advance ( approx 3 months ago) still we were still given 4 rooms far off. I called Mr. Rajeev who was handling the booking. And asked about not informing us about the construction just next to us, and his response was we have many guests staying without complaints ( how does this matter to us) however when this was acknowledged by the estate manager Mr. Rakesh he assured us for a pleasant stay and the construction would stop during our stay. (But it didn't) the quality of service is also not at per a luxury experience. The people made us feel as if they were doing so much favour to us by simply doing routine things. On the day of checkout. I got a call from the reception at 10:30, the lady over there had no basic courtesy, her statement was "Madam 10 baje humara checkout time hota hai aur 10:30 Ho gaye. Humare checkin hai room ready karna hai" This was the first statement when you said hello. Not even asking what time we will check out. They need a lot of training for guest handling. Anyway, you count on the experience only to choose any resort. And to my experience, I would not even give 3 stars. The only professional person I found was Mr. Rakesh. Rest I felt super ruined holiday. No nature walk was provided which was a part of our package. Over all only the location was good and nothing. I won't recommend this hotel for a...
Read moreTo start with I am highly disappointed with Jim-Corbett. Despite being so hot people are lining up to an extent that it has become overcrowded, expensive, and filled with tourist traps. The city's popularity as a tourist destination has led to issues such as large crowds and high prices with city offering nothing to traveller's.
We recently had the opportunity to stay at Corbett River Creek Resort during my leisure trip and I must say that I was left feeling disappointed by the overall experience of the resort. While the hotel had potential, there were several aspects that fell short of my expectations. However, I must say we got a better deal at this resort compared to other resorts and we decided to stay. Our stay included Breakfast and High-Tea.
The check-in process was efficient. Our room was good but the best rooms are the ones facing the River. The front lawn was very well managed. However, the block in which our room was located was slightly off with no views, the area was not maintained. Some staff was probably staying near our room. In our entire stay of 3 nights, no body came for cleaning the room once, complimentary tea-coffee, water was re-filled on our requests only. Despite giving room keys on 2nd day and telling the staff to clean the room, to our surprise when we came back to the resort our room was in the same condition as we left.
The pool was so dirty that there was a stark difference in color of kids pool and main pool, told the staff for cleaning but they did nothing. We resisted for 2 days but used the dirty pool on 3rd day of our stay to beat the corbett heat. This lack of cleanliness made me question the overall hygiene and upkeep of the hotel.
Moreover, the customer service throughout my stay lacked professionalism. The hotel staff appeared indifferent and unresponsive to guest inquiries or requests. Whether it was room service or simple assistance, it felt as though I was inconveniencing them with my needs. Their lack of attentiveness left me feeling undervalued as a...
