Gangchen Tibet Kitchen — Restaurant in Uttarakhand

To describe this place in few words it'll be: Pretentious place, Rude staff, Below average service. I've been to this place multiple times and have had only bad experiences From seeing cockroach taking a brisk walk on the banana cake, getting served cold food, multiple occasions when the order was messed up by them even after explaining clearly what we asked for, servers not listening to requests I've seen it all. The staff here is so pathetic and I've never trusted them with anything that I ordered because of my earlier experiences. They simply don't care what you want they'll just give you what they think you ordered and any complaints you have may it be uncooked food or something in the food that is not supposed to be there. They will simply try to explain that it is supposed to be like that they will listen to your complaint and just that's it they will tell you that they are right and what you are saying is wrong. What we experienced today was worst it could get. We ordered 1 chef special veggie basket and they asked us there and then that do you want it with gravy or dry We told them like 3 times that we want it dry yet when it arrived it had gravy. No worries we asked them again that we want it dry and just as we said this the server started justifying that "ye aise hi hota hai" even after telling him that we have had this dish before and we know what it is supposed to be like still he was saying that he had got us what we ordered which got me like ARA BHAI SUN TOH LE BOL KYA RAHE HAI. After telling him 3-4 times again that we want it dry then he understood, not what we wanted but what he had got us is not what we want. So we again politely told him to take what he had got us back and give us chefs special vegetable basket clearly instructing thay "bhaiya aap iss se hi gravy kam karke matt le aana" because the dish is stirr fired veggies and if they reduce the gravy and cook it again the veggies just gets soft and looses the flavor to gravy which we didn't wanted and that is why we asked him to get us a new one. He went back to kitchen emptied "some" gravy and came back, he just did what we told him that he should avoid. This time we had another long conversation that this is not what we asked for and you just did what we you felt was right for your business and not considering our request. My god he then brought in the owner and he was just like the server telling us that we and our demand is wrong. We tasted the dish and on the first bite it was clear that we are not going to eat as we ordered stirr fried veggies and we got boiled in gravy veggies. We again told them that they have messed up our order and for God's sake not even once they listened to Us and even the waiters who knew nothing about the situation came to me telling me thay I was wrong ARA BHAI TU TOH WAHA THA BHI NAHII😭😭😭😭😭😭 Then the owner started arguing with us and it was clear that he will not admit that it was their mistake as he was again and again was blaming us for the order. We settled the debate by paying what we owed them thag is the money because not once this place is going to consider that what they owe us to the money we pay them. I have more disappointing किस्से but that you might experience if you continue to go to this place even after reading MULTIPLE GENUINE REVIEWS ON BAD SERVICE AND OVERRRRRRR RATED FOOD. This is the worst place i’ve been to ever in my entire life. I have a lot to say about this cafe/restaurant whatever it is, all i know is that neither i nor my friends are ever going to go there again. we’ve been visiting this place occasionally since the past 2 years and there’s always a bad experience to share about each visit but this time something so extremely pathetic has happened that it has forced me to write a review here so that i can let out my anger about this place and also help other people in never visiting here just to save them their time and money :) what happened today was that they messed up our order then when we called them out on it they kept blaming it on us or justifying their food even though they knew they were in the wrong. they said that its the waiters fault since he’s “new” here and its been 3 days since he joined lmaooo but we knew the waiter he wasnt new anyway the point is that they LIED just to get money from us after THEY made the mistake. it was such a longggg argument about this stupid mistake of theirs and they just wouldnt let it go. the owner talked to me with such anger i felt so uncomfortable… im a student here and he must be at least 30 years older to me but clearly not wiser. even his wife came and asked him a couple times to let it go but that man was extremely stubborn, aggressive and disrespectful for us, it wasnt about the money. it was about the integrity and being fair and kind towards your customers. after seeing his super nasty behaviour i directly asked him to take the money because i knew he was after the money only. and so he did… we didnt even eat our dish it went wasted and we left there disappointed and all that was nothing to them . they just kept blaming us and kept trying to find reasons to extort money from us . it was such a cheap behaviour shown by them and i’ll never forget how disrespectful that old person was. im going to tell all my friends about the service and the values of the owners of this place and save them the time and money and most importantly the experience that they’re gonna get from...
