I recently visited Laffa Restaurant and decided to try their Mutton Momos and Thukpa, and the experience was quite okok overall. The mutton momos were the highlight of the meal. They were buttery, soft, and had a rich filling that felt freshly prepared. The outer layer was just the right thicknessânot too doughyâand the slight crispness at the base gave it a nice texture contrast. The chutney served alongside was flavorful and had a decent kick, complementing the momos well.
Moving to the Thukpa, it was warm and comforting, but nothing too extraordinary. The broth had a mild flavor, more on the subtle side, and though the noodles were cooked well, I felt the soup couldâve used a bit more depth or seasoning. The portion size was good for one person, and the presentation was neat.
The ambiance of the restaurant was cozy with decent service. The staff was polite, but the service was a bit slow. Price-wise, itâs reasonable, but not something Iâd call budget-friendly either.
Overall, if youâre nearby and craving momos, Laffa is a good pick. The thukpa was just okay. Worth a try once, especially for...
Read moreA pocket friendly restaurant that can beat the taste of some fancy high budget cafes in the doon. Recently I tried few items and was impressed by their taste, Mutton momos were rich and savory filled with very well minced mutton, texture was soft and chewy and juicy from inside. âš100 for full plate of mutton momos is surely a good deal. Chicken chowmien also tastes incredible with a touch of ginger in it.Coming to the veg option there veg momos were delicious and the chowmien had a tangy and spicy garlic flavour, this place is surely a treat for food lovers. Only con is that it's on the first floor and it becomes very warm during summers but after eating there food you will not regret once.
The owner and staff are well mannered they treat you like a guest at home...
Read moreThis restaurant is the reason I fell in love with Mutton Momos! Their momos have thin, delicate wrappers, juicy flavorful fillings, and perfectly balanced chutney. It's a truly delicious experience.
We also tried their Non-Veg Thukpa and some Veg Momos. The Thukpa was good, but the star of the show was definitely the Mutton Momos.
However, on our last visit, the Mutton Momos weren't quite as amazing. They seemed to have added coriander leaves to the filling, which seemed to affect the juiciness. I hope they reconsider this change, as the juicy filling was a key part of what made them so special.
As a final suggestion, I think a spicier red chutney would be a fantastic addition...
