VISIT TO LAHASA, TIBET PURKUL ROAD, SALAN GAON, BHAGWANT PUR, DEHRADUN
This was not my first visit to Lahasa, but I was deeply disheartened by the current state of affairs. While my previous experiences were average, my most recent visit on 25th June was unpleasant and disappointing. We arrived for lunch to find only one family dining, with two other guests just leaving. Despite the presence of around six staff members, the condition of the toilets was unacceptable — unclean, stinking, and not addressed even after it was reported. The food quality was equally disappointing: Taste and preparation were below average, the food was served cold, It seemed unpleasant-smelling oil was used The fresh lime soda was served with undissolved sugar, almost no lemon, and flat soda. Though it was replaced when we complained, the initial quality reflected poor standards. Another point of concern: one is required to remove shoes or wear shoe covers to enter the dining area, which is acceptable if implemented uniformly. However, shoe covers were not visible and only provided on request, making the process inconvenient. A simple automatic shoe cover dispenser could easily resolve this and improve guest comfort. Most of the staff were busy watching reels on their phones instead of working. Overall, the visit left a very poor impression, both in terms of hygiene and hospitality standards. I sincerely hope this feedback is taken constructively and corrective steps are taken to bring Lahasa back to the quality and experience it aims...

Most of their outlets are set up in converted residential spaces, offering a cozy, no-frills dining experience that truly captures the spirit of Tibet.
Though the service can be a bit slow at times, likely due to limited staff, the warmth and quality more than make up for it. We’ve visited nearly all their branches, but the ones in Purkul and Jakhan remain our absolute favourites.
Their chicken kothey, thukpa, shapta, spring rolls, and soups are consistently delightful, comforting, flavourful, and cooked with heart. It’s simple food, done exceptionally well.
A hidden gem for anyone who appreciates authentic...

A big board says "No drinks are allowed" but everybody sitting with the bottle and using foul language. No body was there to listen. A list of services was told at the time of booking but at the end nothing worked.. Worst experience of my life.. Never to go there atleast with...
