We are regulars at this restaurant. Food is great, staff is great but beware of delivering from Zomato from this restaurant. It is 5 mins drive from my house but off late I have been ordering from Zomato. The condiments that are provided at the restaurant are good compared to what is given in delivery. They add water and half of what is provided in the bowls of chutneys. Management please note that your morning supervision is not good at all. The ground staff is very good but whoever supervises delivery cheats the customer as we pay extra for delivery, specially packaging. We had mentioned this to the cashier once when we had visited. Since they know us as we were thier fist 5 customers, their apology seemed genuine. However, this has happened 3 times post speaking to them. If this can happen to us, others too must be facing this as the owners are not around in the morning. Needless to say that delivery takes a long time for them in the morning. Cannot blame zomato as we can see in the app that the delivery boy is at the restaurant. In fact I have seen this as well when I visit the restaurant in the morning. They should have another separate counter for delivery as the restaurant kitchen counter is crowded with them. Management please take this as a feedback and work on your morning supervision at the restaurant and delivery. Today's food ordered did not have chutneys given. The 9 fresh lime soda had water mixed and given in silver foil instead of the can. We are ok with the foil and understand that there may have been shortages of cans today or may be the cans were kept for the restaurant only. Best part was we had the steel spoons in the boxes instead of all the...
Read moreThis is a new cafe opened up on Chandigarh Highway from Dehradun near a very famous temple Balaji( Lord Hanuman). Pros Serves RO water rather than a plastic water bottle something I would like the reviewer and foodie community to take up while eating at a restaurant as it would help a lot in curbing plastic pollution. It is very necessary and high time that we take action on this piece. The place has ample space for 70 people to sit. Has a functional toilet with a separate handwashing area. The rawa dosas were the best that I have had all over North India. Was served food in 15 mins. Have employed women also who were from local village area but we're only 2 of them. A very unique thing was the little temple bell used in homes during worship. it was used to call for the the attendent to serve the food to customers. A very unique experience that could transcend you to temples in South.
Cons Just order the south Indian dishes over at Udupi and avoid North Indian and continental dishes. Had ordered pasta and chole bhature which very average in taste. The gravy of chole was in sambhar which kind off toned down the whole eating experience. The parking space is very limited especially for a place along highway and this goes for all the stores in dehradun. The place does not accept payment through card and could be a problem for credit card users. The spaces were not disinfected between customers. Only 3 tables are seated outside and rest are inside which makes it lesser wheelchair...

Udipi South Indian Cafe is a great place to go for delicious and authentic South Indian food. The cafe is located in dehradun pontasahib highway and is known for its hearty and flavorful dishes. However, one thing to note is that the cafe can get quite crowded, especially during peak dining hours.
Despite the crowds, the food at Udipi South Indian Cafe is definitely worth the wait. The menu features a wide variety of dishes, including dosas, uttapams, and curries. The dosas, in particular, are a must-try. These large, thin crepes are made from a fermented batter of rice and lentils, and are served with a variety of fillings and chutneys.
The uttapams, which are similar to dosas but thicker and more filling, are also a great option. They come topped with a variety of vegetables, such as onions, tomatoes, and chilies. The curries, made with a variety of lentils and vegetables, are also delicious and hearty.
In addition to the food, the service at Udipi South Indian Cafe is also great. The staff is friendly and attentive, and they are more than happy to help you navigate the menu and make recommendations.
Overall, Udipi South Indian Cafe is a great choice for anyone looking for delicious and authentic South Indian food. Just be prepared for a bit of a crowd and you'll have...
