Review:
I recently visited Amantran Dhaba in Barasat and had a rather disappointing dining experience. Despite the variety on offer, several key issues overshadowed the meal.
Food Quality:
Biryani: This dish was the most disappointing part of the meal. It tasted old and lacked the fresh flavors and aroma you typically expect from a good biryani. The rice was clumpy, and the meat felt reheated rather than freshly cooked.
Veg Thali: The veg thali was average at best. While it offered a decent variety of dishes, none of them stood out in terms of taste. The dal was bland, and the vegetables were overcooked.
Mix Fried Rice: The fried rice was okay but nothing exceptional. It was slightly greasy and lacked the flavorful punch of fresh ingredients that elevate a fried rice dish.
Paneer Butter Masala: This dish was decent, with the paneer being soft and the gravy flavorful, though slightly on the sweeter side than expected. Tandoori Roti: The rotis were standard, soft, and well-cooked, providing a good accompaniment to the Paneer Butter Masala.
Chilli Chicken: The chilli chicken was a bit of a letdown. While it had a good spice level, the chicken pieces were chewy, indicating they might not have been freshly prepared.
Service: The service at Amantran Dhaba was quite poor, and unfortunately, this significantly impacted the dining experience. The staff lacked basic manners and seemed disinterested in attending to customers. Their rude demeanor gave the impression that they were doing us a favor by serving the food, which is unacceptable for any dining establishment.
Ambiance: The ambiance was typical of a roadside dhaba with nothing remarkable to note. It was moderately clean but did not have any specific charm or atmosphere that might compensate for the other shortcomings.
Overall Experience: Overall, the experience at Amantran Dhaba was unsatisfactory. The combination of subpar food, especially the stale biryani, and the lack of courteous service made for a regrettable visit. It's disheartening when a place doesn't meet the most basic expectations of hospitality.

I would not recommend Amantran Dhaba unless significant improvements are made in both food quality and customer service. There are likely better dining options in the area that value their customers and strive to provide a more pleasant...
Read moreI recently had a highly disappointing experience at Amantran Dhaba. Despite arriving well in advance and placing our order promptly, we were left waiting for nearly an hour before the food arrived. The delay was frustrating, but what made matters worse was the complete lack of respect shown by the staff. There was no communication, no apology, and a general attitude of indifference toward their customers. It felt like customer service was the last thing on their mind.
To make things worse, the quality of service did not justify the wait. I wouldn’t recommend visiting this place unless you're willing to be treated poorly and waste your time. There are far better options where your presence and time are valued. Avoid at all costs if you care about prompt service and a respectful...
Read moreThe location of this dhaba is just beside the National High Way 34 at Barasat.. The atmosphere of the dhaba is very good and the behavior of the employees is also good.. I'll rate the dhaba 5 out of 5 for the cleanliness.. They maintain higene also.. Food quality is good. It's quite over priced but quality is so good.. But the price of "Fish thali" is not written over the menu card and the price kf fish thali is lower than chicken thali.. So if you want to save your money then ask them at first... The fish thali will be available in around 150 /- and chicken thali is in 200/-. There is no option of egg.. And they don't accept any egg taken from outside also.. Keep mind it.....
