We stopped for a quick brunch at Chaasum on our way to Kolakham, and it turned out to be a delightful little find. The eatery is quaint, cozy, and beautifully decorated, creating a welcoming and homely atmosphere. The staff were incredibly warm and friendly, making us feel right at home from the moment we walked in.

We tried a variety of dishes, starting with the classic chicken steam momo. These were juicy, succulent, and definitely lived up to the hill momo reputation. The peanut chutney served alongside was a real treat, adding a deliciously tangy kick to the dish.

Next, we had the Mixed Thukpa, which was simple yet satisfying. The broth was hearty, and the dish was generously packed with noodles, veggies, and protein, topped off with a perfectly cooked sunny-side-up egg. It was one of those comfort foods that really hits the spot on a chilly day.

We also tried the Chilli Pork, which was tasty, though I felt the MSG content was a bit heavy. That said, it was still a great plate of stir-fried pork with good flavor and spice.

Finally, we had to try their famous Nepali Chicken Thaali. The portion size felt a little small, especially when it came to the rice and sides, but the flavors were solid and it was a satisfying dish overall.

For those with a sweet tooth, they have a nice variety of bakery items, including pastries and cookies, which looked tempting but we didn’t try this time.

Overall, Chaasum is a warm, cozy spot with great food and friendly service. It was the perfect stop to recharge before heading to Kolakham, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone...

Chaasum Family Restaurant in Siliguri is a hidden gem that offers a perfect blend of comfort, flavor, and warmth. Nestled near the Sevoke rail crossing, this place has quickly become a favorite for both locals and visitors. The restaurant stands out not just for its delectable menu but also for its cozy, family-friendly atmosphere.

The menu at Chaasum is a delightful mix of Chinese, Indian, and local flavors, with each dish prepared with care and attention to detail. The Momos, a crowd favorite, are rich in flavor and texture, thanks to being made with desi ghee. If you're craving something more filling, the Pork Thali is a hearty and satisfying choice, while the Pan-Fried Chicken Dimsums are a savory treat, packed with rich flavors that leave you wanting more.

One of the standout features of this restaurant is the exceptional service. The staff is friendly, efficient, and always ready to make recommendations based on your preferences. The restaurant is also impeccably clean, which adds to the overall pleasant dining experience. For those looking to enjoy their meal outdoors, the rooftop dining option, surrounded by greenery, adds an extra touch of charm to the experience.
