Coffee House Classic — Restaurant in West Bengal

I’ve been to 10s of other restaurants in Uluberia, probably 100 times. But definitely Coffee House Classic has the best vibes and ambience. The Art painting, indoor lightings are really make the atmosphere cosy. I visited this place yesterday during Durga Puja, the rush was heavy and crowded. The negative points here I found that the chicken wings I ordered are not fully cooked, it tasted like hall cooked boiled chicken. I complained to the waiters but nothing much happened. The other dishes like Awadhi Biriyani, Chicken Kasha and Butter Tandoori Roti were just average in taste. But hey, I get it, because of the rush and too much crowd during festivals season the chef might be getting too many orders to keep up with. So when I visit any restaurant in festivals, I always keep a low expectations. But that doesn’t mean you’ll feed raw chicken. Some of my friends recommend this restaurant and I was told that the food and ambiance and the service will be amazing here. Yes, the service was good, waiters were friendly and helpful, the ambiance is cosy but the food is bad I have to say.

Giving 5 stars of the atmosphere , 5 stars for the service but only 1 start for the bad food we served.

I will visit this place again after Durga Puja, when there won’t be much rush so that I can get well cooked food. I hope next time it’ll be better.

Edit : I visited again last week, ordered 3-4 chicken starter, 5 blue lagoon, mexican chicken sizzler, Biriani, Special handi Mutton., butter Naan and few more dishes. I wanted to try the fish finger, crispy chilli chicken starter and Sunset mocktail but unfortunately they didn’t have those on that day. Here is the thing: Starters were good, butter naan and biriyani was good just like other restaurants, mexican chicken sizzler was probably the worst dishes I have ever had in any restaurant in few years. Now coming to the Special Handi mutton which was for Rs.600 and it’s worth every penny of it. The juicy soft mutton pieces and the rich tasty gravy was just mouth watering. I definitely recommend others to try Special Handi mutton.
