We went to desi lane on 14th August. We were a bit sceptical about whether we should chose any other place considering plenty of negative reviews(Food being served late even taking upto an hour, bad behavior of employees, bad taste of food).
I am going to share our experience of 14Th august monday
We entered the place and were greeted politely by the staff. For starters we ordered pepper salt fish, garlic bread, pizza,American salt and pepper corn and conchy chicken.Out of all these except garlic bread and pizza which took 15-20 minutes the other items were served within 10minutes.
Our request to change the songs from old hindi classics to new hindi numbers were also accomodated.
For the main course we had Cilantro rice sizzler and chicken steak
The chicken steak was great and the cilantro rice sizzler was not a sizzler in real term it was more of a hariyali tikka kabab gravy with cilantro rice so if you are expecting this to be a sizzler like the same you can get in any restaurant in park street then be ready to be disappointed but although it should not be named as a sizzler the dish really tasted good
For desserts we had Brownie with ice cream, darsan with ice cream and a caramel pudding.
Although the brownie and darsan was great ice cream given was one scoop only but my recommendation is if not there atleast two scoops of ice cream should be given other it is good and regarding the caramel pudding or custard I don't remember the name exactly it was not at all worth it cz it did not contain real caramel but some caramel flavour.
Over all a great place to have fun and enjoy the food so dont trust the negative reviews and one more tip the restaurant has two types of waiters where some 2-3 people only take orders while there are 5-6 people whose job is only to serve the food so when you are ordering make sure to order the product to the guy taking the...
Read moreI hope this message finds you well. I recently visited Deshi Lane Pub , anticipating a pleasant experience enhanced by the new offers I had heard about. Unfortunately, I was met with a situation where the staff on duty appeared to be unaware of these promotions.
During my visit, I attempted to inquire about the details of the latest deals that were advertised online. However, to my surprise, none of the employees I conversed with were able to assist me, as they seemed uninformed about the existing offers. This not only led to confusion but also affected the overall enjoyment of my experience at your establishment.
As a loyal patron, I believe it is essential for all members of your team to be well-versed with current promotions to ensure consistent customer service. Timely and effective communication between management and staff regarding updates and offers is crucial for the smooth operation of the pub and to prevent any miscommunication with customers.
Here are a few suggestions that might be helpful: Regular briefings for all employees on new offers and changes to the menu or pub policies. Easy-to-access reference materials (like a bulletin board or digital updates) that staff can quickly check for offer details. Training sessions for employees focussing on the importance of staying informed about current promotions to enhance guest service.
I am confident that the implementation of these measures can considerably improve the customer experience and ensure that everyone can enjoy what Deshi Len Pub has to offer. Despite this hiccup, I am looking forward to visiting your pub again soon and hope to see improvements regarding the dissemination of information about offers.
Thank you for taking the time to read my feedback. I appreciate your dedication to customer satisfaction and am eager to see how you will address this...
Read moreFirst the ambience.. The ground floor houses the main pub with the atmosphere as can be expected from a modern day kolkata pub... Loud music, party lights, open area for dancing etc.. The 3rd floor also has a separate family area and also a rooftop section as well which is among a very few in the area. The drinks menu has a fair amount of options. Besides regular liquors straight from the bottle, they also serve a wide array of cocktails and non alcoholic drinks (the bartenders seem to be quite skilled in making your taste buds have a good experience) The staff is also quite efficient, helpful and friendly. But then comes the food.. THE MAMMOTH NEGATIVE for the establishment. They do serve a lot of variety.. Indian, Chinese, italian, some continental. But but but... The raw materials they prepare them with is of really sub par quality, especially when it comes to anything with rice or meat, be it chicken, prawn or mutton..None of it is fresh at all. on bite one you get the taste of stale rice with bacterial decomposition having started( the taste you get when you keep cooked rice unrefrigerated for a day Or even if refrigerated for a few days). Same goes for the meat...its quite evident that they use materials kept for a long time in the refrigerator(the texture is always on the harder side with the taste as if it's already starting to rot). Now, i went on a Sunday evening with the next day a national holiday. So if that's the condition on a day with probably the highest footfall in the week, I hate to imagine what the food standards are on rest of the days. I would recommend the place for people who wanna focus on just drinks and having a blast(their HAPPY HOURS offers are unparalleled). For a dining experience,...
