Golpo Foodcourt & Banquet — Restaurant in West Bengal

Well, there is no doubt that this restaurant has a nice photographic background. But, why do I recommend the restaurant to anyone? Just because it has fancy background...... No, right!!!! Whenever we recommend a restaurant to anyone, the food should be standout. Otherwise, it will make no sense to visit the restaurant/s. Recently me and my friends went to 'Golpo' and unfortunately, our experience was not at all good. I'm so sorry to write this. But it's a fact. Well, me and one of my friend ordered 'Veg Sandwich.' And I'm so sorry but it was the awful sandwich that I ever had in my life. Seriously they didn't bother to toast the bread. They serve it raw. And the bread wasn't fresh. It didn't end here. One of my friend ordered 'Dahi Vada.' And the way they served dahi vada, looks like a dog's breakfast. We can ignore the food presentation, as long as it tastes good. Good that Jalpaiguri probably has got it's first food court. But overall experience is just average. The space is not that big. Less number of options than what it should be. We have ordered 3 dosa's from the south Indian stall. Food quality was ok. But surprisingly they charge for extra sambar which is really funny. Common! You can't do that. You are just a small stall in a small food court. Don't try to pretend as 5 star restaurant. The washroom was also not up to the mark. Handwash soap was not available. And no hand dryer machine available too. And somehow I missed a step while getting out from the washroom and the cleaning stuff found really funny and started laughing at the spot which is really annoying. Overall don't want to rate it very good but giving 3 stars because it's first in Jalpaiguri and better than other places than...

I love the place and the ambience... The food is more or less good enough... But I want to complaint against a new staff who has joined... Not mentioning his name... It is a recent incident in this month of April 2022...He has taken a lady guest's number from the Golpo Customer Card and has started messaging and calling the lady guest.... Trying to behave very sweetly and trying to offer complimentary cold drinks and food... But at night he is messaging and trying to call her and hence he is disturbing her... I would like to request the management of Golpo to please monitor such things and ensure that such nuisance doesn't destroy the goodwill of the outlet. I am giving 2 stars only for his nuisance...
