A good family restaurant, excellent for a day out away from the hustle and bustle of Kolkata. The drive to this place itself is enough to enjoy. Here is the detailed review of this place:

Location: 5 out of 5 Located just before Krishnanagar on the NH12. Easy to find and plenty of parking space available. If you come here in a rainy day, you will enjoy the drive more along Kalyani expressway and NH12.

Ambience and Service: 4 out of 5 Excellent ambience, they have cozy themed rooms and also a large dining hall. Service is also good, and it's really a good thing that they are employing local women as waitress and they are really doing a great job. The only thing is the robot service is kind of a marketing gimmick because the robot doesn't come to your table. It just comes to a common place and the waitress serves from there.

Food: 3 out of 5 In one sentence, most of the items are good and reasonably priced but some are a waste of money. So be aware of the hype, here is the details 👇

We have ordered plenty of dishes, so I am in a good position to review.

Starters: a. Ajwaini whole tandoori bhetki(1 star): ₹550 Whatever it is but not bhetki at all. Bhetki is neither that small nor smells nor tastes like that. Probably a bhola bhetki. Anyways, tandoor taste was not bad but selling in the name of Bhetki is a crime for me.

b. Crispy Honey Mushroom (4 star): ₹205 Good dish, sweet but not extra sweet, crunchy and enjoyable. Comes with a good portion.

c. Fry Lasagna (2 star) ₹330 for 4 piece This is a rubbish starter. Since when is Lasagna coming with a solid piece of meat? Cheese is also given for name's sake. So it's just a solid chicken piece coated with cheese and breadcrumbs.

Drinks:

a. Aam pora sharbot (5 star): ₹80 Nice summer drink, very thick and filling. Probably they are using local mango which is good. b. Ocean breeze (1 star): ₹165 Funky coloured drink, too sweet to drink. Although it's decorated well enough like some Hawaiian drink. Still I feel it's a waste of money.

Main course:

a. Chingri morich pulao (5 star): ₹ 180 Too good! Prawn flavour blends nicely with the rice, the spiciness is tolerable and comes only from pepper and very light sweetness just to balance. Enough for two.

b. Dhonepata Murgi Pulao (5 star): ₹145 Another excellent dish. Flavour of dhonepata is all over. No sweet at all, a little spicy but tolerable. A must try. Enough for two.

c. Murgi Kolmi Kosha (4 star): ₹320 Nothing extraordinary but the taste is good. 4 Chicken pieces marinated with local spices and kolmi sakh. A little dry but compliments flavoured pulaos perfectly.

d. Basudha special kosha mangsho (4 star): ₹495 Again nothing special despite the name. A homely mutton dish comes with 4 pieces. Meat is not well balanced. We received two bony pieces and two solid pieces of meat. Good side dish for pulao.

Desserts:

a. Royal Faluda (4 star): ₹215 It's huge. Good blend of cream on top and icecream below. The taste is good but probably it should be ordered like one piece for two.

b. Sizzling chocolate brownie with vanilla soup (1 star): ₹180 Nonsense dish. Not sure where the vanilla was as I just saw chocolates all over. Brownie was very bad in taste, too bitter to eat and the chocolate syrup was feeling like hot boiling soup as it was thrown all over the sizzler.

Overall: The food is good and homely. I feel it's better to not try fancy items but stick to the local cuisine. Portions are good with respect...

Update as on 31st Oct 2024: The robot Ananya starts working from mostly 1 pm and it also depends on the number of customers. Below are the new items we tried: Chingri Cutlet (2pc) - This was a little spicy and talking about the size, each cutlet will be filling for 1 person. Sufiyani Murg (half - 4pc) - Much like tandoor but tastes amazing. A must try. If you order for a full plate, there will be 8 pcs. Murgir Potli Bhapa Kebab (4pc) - We didn't like this item as we felt it was bland. Mutton Kosa (3pc) - Good in taste, but be aware, there might be a chorbi (fat) piece, so please ask the waitress beforehand. Repeated Jhaal Begun fry and Ghee diye Lebu Lonka Naan - both are still delicious.

Need an unique restaurant with mesmerizing ambience with tasty food? This place is waiting for you to visit as this has one more attraction up its sleeve - ROBOTS!

Covering 11,000 sq ft area, the place has 3 restaurant areas. We, 8 heads, shared the below items: Aam Tel diye Bhetki Seka - One of the best items I had after a long time. The price is justifiable with the portion it serves. Jhaal Begun Fry - These are not our usual Begun fry but its more of KFC style crispy begun fries. Myself being not a big fan of begun, I had 4-5 of these. Tbh, you will love it! Chicken Thali - Rice, Dal, Jhuro Alubhaja, Chanar Dalna, Chicken Kasha, Chutney, Papad, Aam Doi - Chicken Kasha was good, rest are okayish. Champaran Mutton - 4 pc of mutton and the taste is really good. Jeera Morich Mutton Bhuna - Portion size will be for 3 but the mutton pieces could be more. Ghee diye Lebu Lonka Naan - Really good taste, one should try at least once in their lifetime. Kancha Lanka Aamsotto Polao - Sweet in taste, it will go well with Champaran mutton. Chingri Morich Polao - Nothing too overwhelming apart from Chingri pieces. Aam Pora Shorbot - Very nice and refreshing shorbot.

It might also amaze you as mostly all the waiters/servers are female.

On weekends, please try to arrive by 1 P.M., else you will not be able to fully enjoy as there will be long queue and also if it is fully packed up, then you might not be able to see robots as in that scenario waitresses bring the food to your table.

One small concern: Once the food arrives at your table, the waitresses will serve the food in no time. And this will be continuing till you have the last order served. It is understandable for a Sunday lunch but they should give us at least sometime for families to enjoy the food in a relaxed way.

Awesome food, fast service, polite waitresses and Robots will definitely cheer you up to visit this...
