Sihotiaz — Restaurant in West Bengal

During my recent visit to Sihotiaz, I had a mixed experience with both food quality and cleanliness.

Cleanliness and Service: Although the floor and tables were clean, certain essential items like the serving tray, salt box, cutlery, and plates were not up to hygiene standards. When I mentioned the unclean serving tray to the server, he responded that it’s often used to carry tea and might have tea stains. However, I noticed that it also had leftover gravy or masala on it, which appeared quite unsanitary. Clean, well-maintained utensils and trays are important for a comfortable dining experience, and I hope management will address this issue.

Food Quality:

Veg Hot and Sour Soup: The soup was overly oily, and the salt was insufficient, affecting the overall flavor. Based on the price, I’d rate it 4/10.

Chilli Paneer Dry: The taste was good, and I enjoyed the flavors. For the price, I’d rate this dish 6/10.

Rawa Masala Dosa: The dosa was decent but didn’t stand out. Considering the price, I’d rate it 6/10.

I must say that this is the best vegetarian restaurant in this city. Enough space for parking. So no worry about taking ur personal car. There are two parts of this restaurant. The first part is visible from outside. After entering, they will tell u whether u want to sit in the inside part.. Both parts are very neat and clean, air-conditioned and well decorated. Very clean washroom. The price of the food items are decent. But I think the taste should be improved a bit. I've tasted Crispy chilli babycorn, mushroom chilli dry, Onion Masala dosha, corn onion pizza, masala cold drink and some shakes. Staffs behaviour is good. The owner and his son (probably) are very nice. They showed me some hand made earthen and wooden pieces which can be customised with chocolates, sweets and other dry food items and present to ur loved ones. Such beautiful things. It didn't feel as much as the hype was made on social media. Yes a pure Veg resturent with shiny and modern touch and well maintained hygiene. Now coming to the main part of the meal, I expected more from the food rather than the ambiance of the restaurant. But there was nothing extra, the same item that is available in all other restaurants. Yes, the mocktail thing was very good. Atleast Far better than Downtown. And the price is not reasonable compared to taste. Hope they'll IMPROVE....😇

Update: They really improved a lot...
