Sate Kiloan Sentul — Restaurant in Babakan Madang

I've lived in Sentul for 18 years and have frequently seen this place packed. Because I don't eat red meat I avoided it until today, when I had occasion to feed 3 guests, and as they have barbecued chicken on the menu, that's ok for me. Frankly, I have no idea what the fuss is about - this is a place I'll never return to, and by word of mouth (and this review) I hope to discourage others. It's expensive, even by bule standards, my chicken was as tender as a rubber mat, and it comes with a single miserly slice of cucumber and tomato. You'd think that the price confers that basic Indonesian staple of rice... well, you're wrong, rice is extra. Giving in, I ordered a half portion, and remarkably it failed to arrive before I masticated my chicken into submission. My guests all ordered the goat fried rice, which insofar as I could ascertain contains little goat, though the portion of rice is huge. In relation to overall costs, consider that a skewer of sate chicken is more than 3 times the price I pay for such at a nearby kaki lima, where I'm a loyal customer because the food is delicious. Mutton satay and mutton tongseng is traditional food from Indonesia. There many type of mutton satay. Usually mutton satay was sauced with soy sauce and/or peanut sauce. At Sate Kiloan Sentul, they serve young goat, 3-5 months old goat.

Place : at Babakan Madang Sentul, just next to Sentul City Gate. Parking can be a problem during rush hour. There are many table available, but during rush hour, it’s gonna full of guests.

Food : any type of mutton, espacialy mutton satay. The slice of the meat is quite big. It taste sweet and very tender. You can ask to add fat if you want the satay taset more tasty. Tongseng also great, sweet and tasty.

Drink : standard tea and other kind of drinks.

Ambient : very crowded, especialy during rush hour (lunch and dinner).

Sate Kiloan Sentul adalah tempat yang pas untuk menikmati sate lezat dengan suasana yang hangat dan penuh keceriaan, terutama jika datang bersama teman-teman. Saya sempat mampir ke sini bersama teman-teman dari IP Unhan sebelum mengikuti ceramah dan pidato dari Bapak Prabowo Subianto, dan pengalaman makan di sana sangat memuaskan.

Sate yang disajikan di sini tidak hanya enak, tapi juga dalam porsi besar, sesuai dengan nama "kiloan"-nya. Porsinya yang melimpah dan daging sate yang empuk serta bumbu kacangnya yang kaya rasa membuat pengalaman makan semakin seru. Suasana restoran yang nyaman dan tidak terlalu ramai membuatnya jadi tempat yang sempurna untuk berkumpul dan ngobrol santai.

Selain sate, menu lainnya juga tidak kalah menggoda, dan semuanya disajikan dengan harga yang sangat terjangkau untuk kualitas yang diberikan. Ini jelas menjadi salah satu pilihan makan yang tepat jika Anda mencari tempat makan yang bisa menampung banyak orang dengan hidangan yang enak dan memuaskan.
