Ingredients are fresh and not frozen; the fried fish was amazingly good; fresh fresh fresh! Although the place is off the beaten track, it provides a unique and authentic outdoor dining experience. Couple this with the great tasting food, this is the real Balinese cuisine you will ever experience along with warm hospitality from the host. He also runs private tours, and makes recommendations based on what you wish to do and where you wish to go. He provides very good local information (whether or not you decide to hire him to drive you around) that will definitely help you in getting around Bali. Had to try after seeing all the rave reviews. Had the nyet nyet and of the bubor. I'm afraid to say the nyet nyet near the pertamina in Bangli is still tops but at about twice the price. With a lot more accessories to the dish and the fish is twice the size. Still value for value, this place is ok. The bubor is served on a plate whereas most other place would serve in a bowl. It had all the ingredients to go with it but again lack the luster of bubur. Still going by the price, it is good value. The place is new in a new developed area.
