I had such a wonderful dining experience at Sungai Restaurant in Sthala Ubud! The atmosphere is peaceful with beautiful views of the river and lush greenery, making it the perfect spot to relax. The food was outstanding – I especially loved the Timbungan Ikan, a grilled Balinese fish marinated and cooked in a bamboo tube, served with urab vegetables and steamed rice. It was so flavorful and beautifully presented. The staff were warm, attentive, and made me feel very welcome throughout my visit. Sungai Restaurant is a hidden gem inside Sthala Hotel. The highlight is definitely the beautiful riverside setting—you can enjoy your meal while listening to the sound of the Wos River. Sthala is a great environment in which to stay. Our hostess Tya was very very friendly and informative. She welcomed us with open arms, invited us for a special cultural dinner and even opened a snake fruit for us.
