Tangelo Bali — Restaurant in Bali

were very disappointed. It was our last evening in Ubud and we wanted to make it special. The first time we were positively impressed by everything here. Very professional and pleasant service, Extremely high-quality and tasty food and two compliments from the restaurant. We were very happy. But today it was the opposite. Unfortunately, it all started from the very beginning. We ordered a table, but it was not prepared and dirty. The service did not speak English well and did not understand what we wanted. We asked and brought one plate and one fork. Other waiters constantly came and asked what we had already told others. In a word, it was very long and did not look like a 5 * restaurant. But the most important thing about the food is that we asked for a dish specifically without onions and not spicy and they brought us everything the opposite and still cold. It felt like the meat and potatoes were just reheated from yesterday...! We asked to replace it and were told it would be replaced very quickly but we had to wait a very long time. Our dishes were brought to us in a hurry, the meat was hot but the side dish was cold and there was again an unwanted onion on the plate..! As an apology we were offered one dessert for two although last time we received a dessert as a compliment from the restaurant. The general manager did not come up at the end and ask if everything was okay this time. In a word we were Very disappointed. Best...

We visited Tangelo with family and friends in October 2023 and had a stellar experience! Chef David prepared an extensive set menu for us, allowing us to get a taste of the restaurant’s contemporary international cuisine. Each dish was well thought out, with the numerous elements blending together to create all sorts of interesting flavor notes. I especially enjoyed the Boston lobster with salsa, which was supremely fresh and had a nice bouncy texture; and the Wagyu ribeye which was well-marbled, soft, and juicy. Desserts were also very solid. All the while, we were able to enjoy the restaurant’s open-air ambiance, which was comfortable and panoramic. Thank you to the staff and chef at Tangelo for a memorable evening - highly recommend this restaurant for gourmands and those looking for a great meal with sublime ingredient quality...
