Great view at night, really. I was so excited when I arrived. Sadly, the services were terrible.
We booked the place by phone about an hour prior for 12 seats. When we arrived, seats for that many people weren't prepared so we needed to arrange the seats by ourselves. We waited for so long but no one approached our table to tell us the menu. They said they were overcrowded, but come on, there were many customers but seats weren't fully occupied. It was just about 60-75% occupied. I needed to approach their table just to get the menu list.
There were part-timers who were confused about everything and seemed to know next to nothing. They didn't even want to write the orders, saying they were incompetent for that task. I could understand if the partimers didn't understand if we asked what the menu was actually about (even though it's not so ok if it was in Jakarta or any other big city); but to not be able to simply write what the customers ordered, was beyond imaginable. We waited for so long (not to mention, we approach them several times) until a real waiter came to our table. I thought the price was understandable for a fancy place (even with not-so-good service), expecting the foods would be on the same level of the place's ambiance. Our orders arrived after about 30 minutes, ok, I could understand that. We ordered kwetiaw goreng, ayam bakar bugil, ayam jepang, hot sweet tea, lemon squash, and chocolate milkshake (we ordered many glasses of chocolate milkshake since we eventually came with more people and children (about junior high to senior high school age) than planned) The kwetiaw was 'ok' tasted. A bit overpriced for the taste, but ok since the place had good ambiance (again). Ayam bakar bugil? Not so. The spices didn't make it to the inside of chicken, so it had ok taste outside but bland taste inside. But ok, still on 'edible' level, I could handle it. I lowered my food taste threshold on this one. I would say the kwetiaw was a little bit better than ayam bakar bugil. The lemon squash had 'ok' taste. Some of my family thought it tasted like adem sari, but I wouldn't complain about it. Ayam jepang? It was the worst thing we ordered. Not because it tasted bad (it tasted ok, wayyy overpriced, I could taste it was mostly fried flour with sauce, couldn't taste the chicken in it. Not worth the price), but mainly because it arrived more than an hour later, just when we were done eating the other foods. You know what other thing that was way overpriced? The chocolate milkshake. It costed about 30k yet it tasted like pop ice. I would get a cup of coffee, a real one, for that value at Starbucks. I bet they used common instant powder like 'abang jajanan' used to make the milkshake. The sweet hot tea was good, we could taste the tea inside. I think it was the only menu that they could be proud of.
Some other employees were kind enough to take photo of us when asked (well, they should be since the view was what's great about this place) and said thank you when we left the place. So, two stars because of those attitude and the good view. If not for those, I would give no star.
My suggestion fo owner: You need to rethink whether your employees could manage customers as many as the available seats, seriously. Or be a good owner and go serve the customers by yourself. Set a good example for them. Or else, your place would get replaced by some other food businesses (maybe those viral franchisees) which serve customers better and have...
Read moreI came to Waroeng Diggers for dinner with my sister. We really like the atmosphere in the restaurant because the place is quite large, there are 2 floors, with indoor and outdoor tables. But I prefer outdoor because I can clearly see the view of the city, sea and mountains. There is also live music and we can sing there. There are many variations of the food menu, for the dish is pretty good And the price is not too expensive, and affordable. There is a prayer room close to the car park very suitable for lingering there without thinking about a place to pray. The toilet is quite clean. I recommend coming to waroeng diggers around 5 pm because at the same time you can see the sunset and at night there are many lights that make the atmosphere more beautiful. This restaurant is perfect for families Because the service is good, the parking lot is spacious and the restaurant is quite large. The location is quite affordable, located in the center of the Komplek Besi, Jl. Way Sungkai, Pahoman, Engal, Kota...
Read moreEating with view. This place offer an experience of eating in the high point of teluk betung area. We can see sea, building and nature scenery. The food is good. I recommended people to order iga bakar. In the night we can see city light fron high ground from this place. It has a live band performance. The services is good. Sometimes i feel that the waiter have a unpleasant smell. Maybe because they weren't changing clothes after doing high physical activity delivering food from kitchen to the customer. I don't really know where the kitchen is but i guess it is quite far from the best view of this restaurant which is is the edge of the area. Afterall i recommend people to come visit this place to enjoy the different atmosphere they...
