Worst service I’ve ever experienced. (Not because of the staffs, but the manager)
Came on lunchtime Sunday so we had to fill the waiting list form. The staff told us she’ll call our number when there’s seat available and to be back at 1PM so we walked around the hotel and saw the ballroom for our upcoming family event.
Went back to the resto lobby by 1PM just to find out they skipped my family and served 2 tables ahead of us. 2 of them being the “regular” of the restaurant. They literally wrote “regular” on the waiting list. Apparently they’re the Manager’s acquaintance (Manager Jackie)
It’s simply unethical to skip ANY guests JUST BECAUSE the manager’s acquaintances came. Feels like “newcomers” are not welcome in the restaurant. Yes you know the regulars better. But they have absolutely NO rights to skip ANY guests who literally lined up to dine.
After complaining, the staffs told us they have a seat, which is, possibly the worst seat in the whole resto. Located on the dark, corner of the room. Ofc we declined, we didn’t wait for 40 minutes+ for this. We confronted the manager but he defended himself by saying “but you declined the seat we prepared” not mentioning how he prioritized his acquaintances. No, sir you didn’t prepare it. It’s literally the leftover seat. Your face-saving action reflects how unprofessional you are. Had you treated us better by saying “sorry I made a mistake. Let me prepare a seat for you”, I wouldn’t leave a bad review here. The staffs even apologized deeply to our family ON BEHALF of the manager 🚩
We got our seats at around 1.30PM and thankfully the staffs helping our table are kind, helpful and fast.
It’s a shame that a restaurant with good food & hard working staffs is led by a less professional manager. Overall we didn’t have a pleasant lunch...
Read moreThe atmosphere was amazing, you can definitely sense the class from this place.
The service was also top notch, they knew what they were doing, we asked for the menus and they could describe and even gave suggestions on which one was a better option.
Foods, honestly I am a little bit disappointed, with the price that high and amazing place, I kinda expected the taste would be off the charts.
The complimentary fish skin was crunchy and tasty. 4.5 of 5
The Ubur Ubur (jelly fish) taste was quite good but the texture was too hard. It was supposed to be more like a jelly. 2 of 5.
The Lempan were overally good. The chicken was juicy and tasty. The duck was delicious and juicy and the beef was fragrant and soft. No failure. 5 of 5.
I'm sorry I forgot the name of the vegetables but damn it was good. In fact it was really good. Texture, taste and amount were all great. 5 of 5.
The beef was a disappointment, it was too salty, but very tender and juicy. 3 of 5.
Penang style Fish if I'm not wrong, this menu was the best of all, the batter needed a slight of salt since it had no taste but the sauce was amazing. Very very delicious. 5 of 5.
And we ended with Gui Ling Gao, the texture was kinda like agar-agar, which it was supposed to be more jelly, you could taste the herb in there and with honey, this dessert was good, probably not everyone's...
Read moreThis restaurant is one of the best Chinese restaurants in Bandung. The food is amazing. The dim sum tastes amazing, the main course looks and tastes amazing, and the tea smells and tastes amazing. Portions are what you'd expect for Chinese restaurant: large portions for large families. Live seafood are available, in which there's an aquarium from which the seafood is prepared fresh. The roast duck is tender, juicy, and crisp; one of the best in Bandung.
The venue itself is very much top-class Chinese. There are two floors; the first floor has a podium with a Chinese tea set table straight from a movie, while the second floor is filled with more tables (usually unused except on very very busy days). Private rooms are available, though you could peek from the outside if so inclined.
In exchange, the prices here are wallet-burning. A meal for a family of three spends north of Rp600.000; meals with large, extended families will cost the same as a mid-range smartphone. if you're strapped for cash, consider other places; otherwise, do come here if you've got money to burn and a...
