Satay Restaurant - Pak Gino — Restaurant in Bandung City

I was quite disappointed.

This the satay that many people lauded for their taste but sadly I found it otherwise. I was ordering "Sate Selap Gajih" and "Gule Kambing" and they are beyond my expectations (in a negative manner).

The first thing I expect for this price point (they jacked the price to almost 70 thousand rupiah without rice) is a satay that's tender and the "Selap Gajih" to be creamy and melt in your mouth-of a kind. But I was wrong, the meat was just OK and "Selap Gajih"was like a rubber. I try to reheat them to no avail. It really should be special considering a lot of satay establishment offering a cheaper alternatives and way better taste and experience.

Gule Kambing was also just OK but not special. Okay you got a pretty hefty portion but I can't believe they took not the best part in the meat hence it doesn't feel juicy and appetizing.

In my opinion, one could get a better satay in a high-end establishment in a mall with similar price point...

Sate Pak Gino is one of the famous Sate Kambing in Bandung. Not much people know that they have another branch in Antapani (the origin is placed in Jalan Sunda). The resto is not easy to find as it is not placed on the main road. But thanks to gmaps, we just need to follow gmaps direction and you wont be lost.

The covid protocols is applied in this place. You can choose to dine-in or take-out. For dine-in, I think it's still OK during pandemic, as the place is a semi-outdoor with a high ceiling so the air circulation supposedly good. Parking can fit to 4-5 cars but this place is never too crowded so you can easily get a place to park in here.

Pak Gino is personally my 2nd best Sate Kambing in Bandung, but I give 5 stars because I have no worry to visit or even dine-in during pandemic since it have covid protocols and not as crowded as in their main branch in...

I recently visited Warung Sate Sidareja Pak Gino in Bandung and it was such a satisfying experience! As someone who loves satay, this place definitely lived up to the hype. I tried their Sate Kambing, the meat was tender, juicy, and full of flavor. It’s served on a hot plate so it stays warm until the last bite, which I really appreciated.
