Ta Wan Festival Citylink Bandung — Restaurant in Bandung City

Tried several items:

1. Bubur telor asin udang: the telor asin are just too little compared to the picture, it was disappointing (there are just small bits and pieces of them in reality). The udang was also very little. But texture was pretty good. At least it doesn't feel stale like the "udang ala singapore" dish I ordered.
2. Ayam goreng belacan was pretty good. I enjoyed them.
3. Meat ayam bumbu special: Dry and tough. Do NOT order it.
4. Lumpia Li Hong Kie: this is not lumpia (it does not have an outer crisp skin), it is more like fish cake. But it tastes fine. Apparently, it is a must order for many people, when they go to the restaurant. But when I ordered it by gojek, it came in a little mushy.
5. Udang ala singapore: Please do not buy shrimp (and perhaps other seafood) in this restaurant. The Shrimp was stale. It came with the shells. But worst, the shrimp was so stale, the meat stuck to the shell and even scraping the meat off with a spoon was difficult. The "ala singapore" sauce was great, but unless you don't mind paying for the entire shrimp dish just for sauce, I STRONGLY advise against...

Descent Chinese restaurant, imo. Food is good. I tried Ta Wan in Jakarta, and it was disappointing. I actually didn’t want to go here, if not for my cousin suggesting me to use the birthday promo. Their instagram (via DM) says the promo is valid until D+7. Unfortunately, the waiter said the D+1 is counted from the D-day (which means the promo applies until D+6. And I was like 😵) Trying not to disappoint my cousin, I ordered that same birthday noodle. Yes, it is nice with the smokey aroma from the wok. The other food is also descent. Overall, I was quite happy with the food, but not so pleased with the service. Come on, guys....

Had a delightful birthday celebration at Ta Wan Bandung! They have this awesome birthday perk where you get free noodles on your special day. The staff was friendly and the restaurant's ambiance was perfect for a casual dining experience with family or friends. Beyond the complimentary birthday noodles, their other menu items are definitely worth trying. Both the taste and portion sizes were satisfying.
