Raja Seafood — Restaurant in Bangka-Belitung Islands

We came here on recommendation from somebody we met at our hotel. They said to try the "kepiting asap." So, thats what we got. The crab was good, but the sauce was on the sweeter side for my taste. I can confirm the "sweetness of the crab dish" reviews from other people. We ordered some fish dishes too, but it came out later when we were about halfway through our lunch. The fish was ok. The sweet and sour squid was a bit off though. Usually, most restaurants bread their fried squid before throwing on the sauce, but this place fried the squid without breading. So, the squid was just oily. We like our sauce on the side so that we can dip the squid in the sauce and keep the texture crunchy. The squid at this restaurant was chewy instead of crunchy. One of the most known seafood restaurant here in Belitung. The place was usually busy, with a lot of people hoping to taste the seafood here. I ordered 7 dishes here. Kerapu tim tauco, ikan saos padang, udang saos mentega, genjer polos, genjer terasi, ikan ayam-ayam bakar, and kangkung. We wished to order their famous kepiting asap but sadly it was out of stock. I tried a few of their menus, and it's pretty nice, however as you can see the portion is on the small side. As many mentioned, their services is pretty slow even though i'm the only customers at that time of visit and there's so many flies flying around that it's disturbing your meal time.
