Serai Cafe at Novus Jiva — Restaurant in Banten

Deliciously grilled seafood with excellent ambience. Worth every penny.

Had lovely dinner at Novus Jiva's Serai during our stay here. During dinner, they have special fresh market section open with good selection of fresh local fish (Kuwe, Kakap, Baronang, Sebelah), squid, and prawn. Default is grillled, jimbaran style.

Food quality is excellent. We had the "unconventional" ikan sebelah (seems to be local reef fish) and squids, both grilled to perfection. Crisp outside, while soft and juicy inside. The freshness really comes through, and the jimbaran style sauce they use to marinade is tasty without being overwhelming.

And did I mention the ambience? Absolutely lovely and chill. Service is good also, I think we only have to wait for 15-20 mins before food is served.

Yes it is not exactly cheap for seafood, probably ~2-3x compared to local seaside restaurants, I believe we paid around 850K for 2 adults and 2 young kids. But at this level of convenience, food quality, and ambience, it definitely is...

I was here a few days ago for a short vacation and found this place from Tiktok's recommendation. The food was good, drinks were refreshing. I ordered Creamy Mushroom Pizza and Pepperoni Pizza, they're so good and yummy, and the Ice Coffee Gula Aren was quite good. The ambiance of the Serai Cafe was so relaxing with the view of the pool, and palm trees, and at some of the spots you will get the ocean view as well. I was here with my colleagues and when we asked for help one of the waitresses to take some pictures of us, they didn't mind helping us! She is Mbak Umi, she's kind to help us take the pictures in some spots.
