If you had a chance to go to Yogyakarta, please make time to visit this local restaurant. I got recommendation by my friend who stay in Yogyakarta for her study, she said Sate Klathak is a must try food here. The best Sate Klathak is this one: Pak Pong Pusat. I've been to Yogyakarta 3 times, and this last time was the first time I try this dish. It's really delicious! These were some menu that I ordered: - White rice (1 portion). - Sate klathak (this dish contain 2 skewers that has a juicy and tender meat and some yellow soup that seems to be made from turmeric under the skewers. I like this satay because the juicy and tender meat, the taste was 4/5⭐️). - Tengkleng (I really love this one! This food was like ribs and bones that comes with a super delicious seasoning. You can choose the spicy level: mild/ spicy/ super spicy, and I choose spicy. I actually don't really enjoy spicy dish, because it'll make me sweat so much and my stomach can't handle that, but I still can enjoy this ribs. It was 5/5⭐️ and goes really well with the white rice). - Tongseng daging (this was a mixture of beef, chicken and lamb. I like the brown soup, the taste was super rich and goes well too with white rice). - Nasi goreng kambing (you should order this! This is my number 1 favorite. I just can't put it to words on how much I love this nasi goreng 💕). The place somehow comfortable and spacy, I came here on the middle November 2020. You should avoid come here on lunch/ dinner time, I bet it would be really crowded. They have clean toilet and spacy parking lot for your vehicle. Don't forget to come here when you go to Yogyakarta, Central Java, Indonesia 💕

As a fan of goat satay, Sate Klathak Pak Pong has been one of my go-to spots in Yogyakarta. In its early days, I frequently visited with family and it quickly became a favorite. It’s well-known and always bustling with customers. The place is spacious with plenty of seating available. They also maintain clean restrooms and mushola. My favorite dish here is the "sate kambing kecap". The meat is tender with large cuts, and the seasoning is flavorful and well-absorbed into the meat. We usually also order "sate klathak", which is a unique style of skewered meat that's cooked over an open flame, "tongseng", or goat meat fried rice. Everything is delicious. However, on my recent visits, I’ve noticed a decline in quality. The meat in the satay and "tongseng" has sometimes been tough, which is disappointing. The service has also become slower, likely due to the consistent crowd. Additionally, the prices have increased, making it relatively expensive for locals. It seems that Sate Klathak Pak Pong is now targeting tourists and visitors, which might explain the higher pricing compared to other local options. Sooo It’s worth visiting if you're a tourist or looking for a well-known spot, but locals might find better value elsewhere.

It should be an awesome experience for lamb lovers here. I was quite surprised when arrived on the spot since they were much more spacious than I thought before. I was told from local driver that all outlets were under the same owner and management. The first original outlet was exactly sate klathak pak pong 2, but decided to move the headquarter here since the place was more proper and larger. I tried their signature sate klathak, sate biasa and tengkleng. Sate Klathak served with light soup. They were still juicy, slightly chewy (in a good way), simple salty taste. It was even better when combined with the light soup. Tengkleng gravy had more intense flavour and very tasty. Meat and intestines were super tender, juicy and well seasoned. Sate biasa was served without skewers and peanut sauce, only sweet soy sauce. Similar with other dishes, they were juicy and tender too. Service was also very good and price was very reasonable. Overall, it was an outstanding experience for having delicious traditional food in Yogyakarta.

Best place for me to unwind after all my activities from morning to evening. It's my first time to eat satay klathak. First i put my motorcycle at parking lot. Then i go to recepsionist to order menu. First time i confused because no one serve me, then i see a menu letter, i pick it already along with pulpen. Then i search the place for eating. I pick lesehan, it very comfortable for me. I order satay klathak and hot tea. Then i ask a waiter to pick up my menu letter. Then, not for long time my order hot tea is coming. It's really great, i'm bit startled. then i go to mushola to pray ashar. the mushola is very great. then i back to my place, not too long my order satay klathak is coming. It's really great too, i really like it, it taste so juicy, chewy, and salty. There is also sauce, it taste so good for me. the wastafel is very great. the toilet is great too. there are a lot of choice place for eat, best place to go with family. it receive debit card bca, bri, mandiri. i love it.

The restaurant and the menu Sate Klathak itself is so impressive. I can see that overall management of Sate Klathak Pak Pong is well managed and have good system. Starting with the guard that controls the transportation that come to the restaurant, the order based on que system, the facilities and the view of paddy field from the restaurant. This is my first time eating Sate Klathak and the sate was so good. Eventhough it use lamb meat for the sate, but it didn't have the unconfortable odour at all. The taste is clean and the meat is tender. no wonder some of review stated that it feel like they eaten small size of steak. As for the facilities, they have various types of tables/dine setting from lesehan, normal table, VIP room and others, comfortable Musholla, toilet, play area for kids, meeting room and others. However, some of the dine area has flies around which make uncomfortable for customers during dine in. The management should do something regarding the flies.
