Restoran Trio Masakan Padang — Restaurant in Bogor

Traditional dishes that is originated from West Sumatra, however its name is followed the region whose residences are the major nomads, which is Padang. Padang restaurant is the most familiar and preferble dishes from East to West, north to south of Indonesia along with Warung Tegal (tegal's eatery) and bakso (meatballs). Almost in every corner of a city people can find Padang shop, eatery or restaurant. It has authentic style of its stacked plates filled with variety of dishes. People just paid for the dishes they eat. But the enormous variety of dishes certainly enhances the appetite. This time, I visit the Trio Padang Restaurant near my house. Simply because we miss the taste. The dishes heavily use coconut milk and herbs ingredients almost similar with Indian dishes. However we find Padang dish much more tasty, spicy and rich in flavor. But they also have un-spicy things so my children could enjoy it. Here, my kids likes ayam pop (chicken cooked in coconut milk and coriander) and beef lung (dipped fried beef lung). I chose squid (calamari) cooked in looked like curry gravy. And my husband enjoyed beef skins and beef feet. All is enjoyed with boiled cassavas leaves and mashed chillies. Mashed chillies are unlimited. Just asked. To close the session we enjoy durian meat that is already frozen, so it looks like ice cream but actually it is pure durian. Food is at valuable price. Frozen durian a bit pricey. If you curious, one cup could be enjoyed by two person. The cup is a bit tall, so it's enough. We love cholesterol, but moderacy...
