In February 2025, I had the opportunity to dine at this restaurant with my family after visiting the nearby VW tour. The spacious dining area, both indoors and outdoors, made for a comfortable experience, and the ample parking was a definite plus.

The restaurant exudes an authentic Javanese charm, featuring traditional architecture and stunning decorations that transport you to another time. I was particularly impressed by their "Wall of Fame," which highlights a host of celebrities who have savored their offerings.

The menu is a delightful showcase of traditional Jogja cuisine, with a buffet that spans from mangut to sayur ndeso. We decided to try the highly recommended Ayam Goreng Kampung (27.5k). We also enjoyed the Cermai Ayam (6k), Sop Rolade (6k), and the flavorful Siomay (5k each). I highly recommend their Beras Kencur (8k) — it was a refreshing highlight!

The pricing is quite reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food. I am already looking forward to...

Warung De’Menake is an excellent dining option, particularly suited for large groups and tours. The venue is spacious, making it ideal for accommodating big groups, especially those looking to enjoy lunch together. The pricing is quite affordable, offering good value for money.

One of the highlights of Warung De’Menake is its unique decor. The restaurant features numerous replicas and decorations inspired by ancient Java, providing plenty of opportunities for taking memorable photos. Whether you’re a history enthusiast or simply enjoy snapping pictures in interesting settings, you’ll find plenty to...

Easy to reach on Google maps. Plenty of parking space for cars, but it can be a bit tight during peak hours (lunch on weekends or long school holidays). Welcomed by traditional Javanese atmosphere (building, music, and food). Plenty of space for seating. Food: authentic taste (Java?) with many varieties. Vegetarian option are limited and can be spicy (for kids). Queue for food can be very long, again when it's a holiday or long weekend period. Facilities: clean toilets and praying room. When leaving the place, no parking tips is required. Definitely it's a go to for...

Authentic array of rustic Javanese dishes. My favourite was the tuna fish wrapped in papaya leaf into a parcel and then cooked in spicy sauce. It was delectable! Love the ambience and spacious dining area indoors and outdoors. They also have buskers entertaining diners. Highly recommended for those who are seeking the taste of Javanese cuisine!
