We had a deliciously interesting dinner at this restaurant. We all liked Indonesian satay, but we did not have the slightest idea of what to expect from duck satays. And we found out that this place actually served one of the best duck satays in town!
There were various types of duck dishes listed on the menu, but we all agreed to try its specialty dishes: duck satays and gulai bebek (duck meat in light curry soup). The satay was prepared well as the meat was quite tender, and we could taste the sweetness of the marinated meat without any condiment. There were peanut sauce and spicy sweet soy sauce on the table to out on satay to one's liking.
The soup was deliciously fragrantful. The duck meat was so tender it literally fell off the bone when we picked it up. The soup itself was light, a bit sweet and savory, definitely caused our appetite to eat more.
One thing that we think makes this place stand out is its ability to prepare the duck meat. The duck meat is quite a delicate protein with tasty fat and skin. However without proper and skillful preparation it would smell unappetizing, and this place proved to have such skills needed to create a delicious duck meals.
