Delicious Crab!

This place could be the only real seafood restaurant in Timika, at the moment. I intentionally searched this place and apparently, it is not far from the hotel I stayed, Horison Ultima. If you stay here, get ojek (motorcycle taxi) and pay IDR 10,000 (less than US$ 1).

The address is Jalan Budi Utomo. Don't say "Nawaripi" because it is not the name of the road where it is located. And most ojek will be confused when you say "Nawaripi."

I ordered "Kepiting (Crab) Saus Padang" and it was exceeded my expectation. Really delicious.

Expensive? It depends. If you live in Makassar (South Sulawesi), for the same portion of crab and with the same quality, you will have to pay IDR 325,000 (approx. US$ 24, if the exchange rate for US$ 1 = IDR 13,500). If you live in Jakarta, you need to pay around IDR 450,000 (approx. US$ 33). Here, I only paid IDR 180,000 (US$ 13)! And I got crabs with eggs. Really not bad!

I also didn't experience bad service from the waitresses and the owner. They are just fine.

Worth to try when you are in Timika. I will surely be back to this resto. Many choices of food, as you can see in my pictures...

We had wonderful meal here! My personal favorite was fried prawns in salted egg yolk sauce, because it was delicious and creamy. Their deep fried squid was also nice.

If you want some healthier option, choose the grilled Baronang fish. The sauted pakis (fern) vegetable was very delicious. Cah Kangkung...
