Service and ambience leave A LOT to be desired. Food is pretty good though and is the only saving grace why this rating stops at 3 instead of lower.

They finished taking our order and we were just waiting for the food when one of the male staff came to our table, asking if we were willing to move to 2nd floor because a big group of family arrived and there weren't enough seats to accommodate all of them in one room. We declined and were not pressed any further, but I personally find it offensive the staff even considered moving us. It's not like we were there eating for free, we are paying customers too, you know?

As if that's not enough, the female staff serving our food had to spectacularly drop the green chilli oil which splattered on our clothes, so right after eating we have to do extra laundry at home. Joy! Truly a great experience for our first time here 🙄

For the food, we enjoyed the tauco pare. Chef magically turned bitter melon into such a fine and delectable dish. Stir-fried kailan with garlic was great too, many restaurants often fail to reduce the hardness of the vegetable's stem, but the kailan we had wasn't hard at all, easy and enjoyable to eat.

Once again, the food is not bad and I'd say is priced quite fairly. However, aside of the multiple service hiccups, the ambience can be too much especially when crowded - the noise bounces all over the room. It's chaotic, almost maddening. If you're there to eat and chit-chat, forget it - just eat.

Would come back if I could have only the food, but I doubt takeaways will allow you to enjoy the dishes in its best condition.

About one kilometer away from the Expressway Toll Gate of Tanjung Mulia in the South of Medan City, we can easily find the "Twenty-Seven Restaurant" which is a scene from "Full House" among the shophouses on the left. A few dozen meters before arriving, we could see from afar many private cars, both luxurious and ordinary, neatly lined up on the roadside in front of the restaurant. After parking the car and walking into the restaurant, we chose a long square table outdoors under a canopy and sat down. We ordered two dishes and a soup, plus a plate of seafood petai fried rice and a plate of white rice. After a while, the meal was served, which was the two dishes and one soup ordered by my wife, plus fried rice and white rice. We both looked at the amount of food that could feed four to five people, and smiled knowingly at the same time (asking ourselves: Can we finish it? 🤭🤭), and then began to enjoy this delicious lunch together. Yes, to be honest, this lunch was really delicious! ! The stingray with bean paste and chili and stir-fried bean sprouts with chili plus salted fish aroused the excitement on my taste buds. The seafood petai fried rice and seaweed soup also highlighted our ugly appearance when we swallowed them in big mouthfuls 😁🤭. After a [wind sweeping fallen leaves] style lunch (in Chinese provebs), we finished everything quickly in a moment 😄😄😄! My opinion is , "The restaurant is packed with customers, the food is delicious and the price is reasonable (depends on sum of persons in group, big portion suitable for group minimum 4-5 persons)". Understandable if the price goes higher after some time but 25,000 for 5 small pieces of tofu is overrated, no?
