I’ve been to Semusim twice for lunch on weekends, and it’s been pretty quiet each time, which I found nice. It’s conveniently located on the main street next to Gragas, making it easy to get to and park.
The atmosphere is cozy and laid-back, with a little kids' corner that has toys and a mini slide, which is great for families.
We tried a few dishes: chicken katsu curry (49k, 4/5), nasi goreng (36k, 5/5), tahu cabai garam (25k, 4/5), and bakso goreng (25k, 3/5). The nasi goreng was definitely the highlight for me. I also really enjoyed their artisan minty breeze tea (30k, 5/5) and the Japanese filter coffee from Solok (30k, 5/5). They have options for local beans, too.

Read moreThe place is comfortable for eating and relaxing. The food is delicious, my wife and I ordered chicken skin orange rice with onion chili sauce.. Beyond expectations, the portion is also large hehe.. Snacking on siomay and fried mushrooms is also delicious.
The coffee? This is the main thing. As a coffee lover. Ordered double espresso and iced Americano.. The taste is delicious.. Bold with a sweet caramel chocolate taste note.
And beyond our expectations. The barista brought out a coffee brew for us to taste. Wow.. It's rare for a coffee shop to ask us to taste their range of manually brewed coffee. Honey Labah Rimbo from Solok. Awesome.. The sweet fruity starfruit notes are really delicious..
Thank you Semusim Looks like we'll...

So far my favourite in here the spaghetti carbonara and the new ice cream which I think coffee flavoured (They gave me for free when I ordered vanila...
