Bawangan Bromo Hotel & Resto holds a prime location for those seeking to explore the majestic Mount Bromo. Its proximity to the volcano and stunning views are undeniable assets. However, my recent stay revealed a mixed experience with some areas needing attention.
The Good: Location, Location, Location: You can't beat the convenience of being just a short jeep ride away from Mount Bromo's sunrise viewpoint. Views to Die For: Waking up to panoramic vistas of the volcanic landscape was truly breathtaking. Friendly Staff: The staff were generally helpful and accommodating, always ready with a smile. Decent Food: The restaurant offered a satisfactory selection of Indonesian dishes, and the breakfast was a good start to the day.
The Not-So-Good: Noise Pollution: The hotel's proximity to the road meant constant traffic noise, especially at night. This significantly impacted sleep quality. Thin Walls: Soundproofing seemed to be an issue, as I could easily hear conversations and movements from adjacent rooms. Basic Amenities: While clean, the rooms were quite basic and lacked certain amenities like a kettle or in-room safe. Limited Wi-Fi: The Wi-Fi signal was weak and unreliable, especially in the rooms.
Suggestions for Improvement: Invest in Soundproofing: Double-glazed windows and better insulation would drastically improve the guest experience by reducing noise. Upgrade Amenities: Adding small touches like a kettle, safe, and better quality toiletries would enhance the comfort level. Boost the Wi-Fi: In today's world, reliable Wi-Fi is essential. The hotel needs to upgrade its internet infrastructure. Consider Landscaping: While the natural beauty is undeniable, some landscaping and garden areas would create a more tranquil atmosphere.
Overall: Bawangan Bromo Hotel & Resto has the potential to be a truly fantastic place to stay. By addressing the issues mentioned above, it could provide a much more comfortable and enjoyable experience for guests seeking to experience the wonders of...
Read moreVery fresh grilled fish, grilled chicken, vegetable.
My order and repeated order for 2 days dinner:
Expected waiting time for grilled fish: 15 mins
Price: $$ (aprox 25% more than local resturants)
Closing Time: 8 pm, weekends might extend to 10 pm (please call to confirm)
Overall Experience: Worth it, you will go back for more!
Tips: If you are a fish lover, 1 fish is not enough to share with your friends or family. After your meal, not to forget to take pictures outside the restaurant, there is a nice picture point beside the wooden cart (if the moon or sun is at that spot, you will get a beautiful picture. I didn't post my picture, as I went for late dinner, picture...
Read moreThis is a very nice mountain hotel with stunning views to the Bromo national park and amazing surroundings. The place is made of wood which gives it quite a charm, and the rooms have the expected comfort for a mountain hotel. Our night was calm and the excursion to the volcano an absolute highlight. What we liked less: we really did not enjoy any of the food at the hotel restaurant, and communication with staff was quite hard due to extremely basic English. As a consequence of this (or maybe to avoid paying 2% bank fees) they led us to believe that they don’t accept credit cards for payment. Thus, despite a preliminary direct contact, we were forced to go through traveloka which added like a 10% premium to the price; and to settle other expenses, the staff asked us to drive 10min to the village and get cash. After getting quite annoyed (after all, this is the year 2023 and this is not a cheap home stay but quite a pricey hotel) a card machine magically appeared and they did...
