Still the best penyetan in East Java with proper place ever! The shrimp paste is quite strong and the sambal overall is tasty. Best seller here is Empal Penyet. But sometimes I order other menu like Nasi Urap, Nasi Pecel, or other topping of penyetan. All is good. Place is clean and has air conditioner. Recommended if you want to try East Java food in Sidoarjo area.

Salah satu Warung Bu Kris yang ada di Sidoarjo, tempatnya kecil, dua lantai. Saya memesan Tempe, bakwan penyet. Bakwannya besar-besar, sambal penyetnya agak beda dengan Warung Bu Kris yang lain terasa sedikit lebih asin. Untuk yang selera asin di sini lebih pas. Untuk yang selera gurih agak manis di cabang lain. Sepertinya di setiap cabang Warung Bu Kris, beda-beda rasa sambalnya. Di Warung ini lebih bersih dibanding cabang lain, sendok dan garpu disediakan dalam gelas dengan air panas, untuk menjaga higienisnya. Saat jam makan siang semua meja terisi pengunjung. Parkir jadi satu dengan parkir ruko, cukup untuk menampung mobil dan motor pengunjung.

Selalu puas makan di warung bu Kris sidoarjo. Sebenernya tidak hanya menyediakan menu penyet2an saja, tetapi kalau ke sini saya selalu pesan penyetannya. Paling suka minum es pencitnya, pencit serutnya berlimpah dan tidak pakai pewarna. Pelayannya ramah2. Tidak usah menunggu terlalu lama, makanan sudah tersaji di hadapan kita. Rasa sambalnya mantabb banget. Kemarin saya pesan rempelo ati penyet, dan bakwan goreng. Rempelonya empuk dan bumbunya enak. Bakwannya juga enak. Namun, yang agak susah kalau kita kebelet ke toilet karena toiletnya berada di lantai 2. Tapi overall sangat puas makan di warung bu Kris sidoarjo.

One of many Bu Kris food shop in Surabaya and around. This located in Sidoarjo. Parking is good. Food can choose either spicy or not spicy, also there is other choices. They served east java food (mostly local taste), but over years, they had expand to Malang, Denpasar, Bandung and Jakarta. Usually full during lunch time. They had existed more than 15 years. Price is also good for your wallet and food...

If you want a spicy sambal (Indonesian food) with fried chicken, and so on.. Come here! This is in my opinion the best value for the money and the taste is good too! Surabaya people love to eat 'Penyetan' (kind of with hot spicy sambal as their main ingredient), and warung bu Kris provides you with a good 'penyetan'... tasty!! (and the price is not...
