We came in January for a two night stay. Being wet season, it seemed extremely quiet in the area so we pretty much had a the place to ourselves.
The views from the coffee shop were amazing. Moments after sitting down my family were able to watch two monkeys hanging out far away in the valley below. I also really appreciated that there was a huge variety of places to sit. Inside, overlooking the ravine, outside, right on the edge, back a bit under the eaves etc.
The view from the rooms overlooked the road, but was still great with the mist-covered hills in the background. The room was somewhat basic, but had what we needed - comfy bed, TV, kettle etc. No air-con or fridge, but it wasn't really needed given Bromo's cooler climate.
One issue was that the hot water in the shower could run out pretty quickly, but when it was there, the water was lovely and hot and the pressure was good.
The food and coffee at the cafe were decent, but because of when we visited, many ingredients were out of stock, which made their menu rather limited.
We appreciated that breakfast included an a la carte option, and barista-made coffee when we asked.
There weren't too many other eateries in the area, but there was a good one, Bromo Escapes, right across the road with a good variety of food.
Another thing to mention is that prior to our stay, we tried to contact the number listed on Traveloka to arrange transport and a Bromo tour. However, the number was not active and we ended up booking the tour elsewhere. When we were there, it does seem that they do arrange tours, but they need to update details for...

Read moreNot worth at all to stay at this hotel. The price is almost the same with jiwa jawa hotel, which is also in bromo. However, the hotel room is very small and just like a budget hotel. Is BUDGET HOTEL facilities, bathroom is not even a budget hotel standard, small sink that hardly can place my items such as toothbrush there. Additionally the hot water is not consistent, the hot water is used up in about one minute and I need to wait for a few minutes for hot water.
The owner and staff there are not welcoming and unfriendly. They looks like not keen to do this business. At night, it is noisy because it keep having motorcycle whirring outside the hotel. The most frustrating thing is that the socket is stick upside down below the table, this may seems fine for their local charger, but if I use the international charger adapter, it drop off. As for the meal, it is not worth it because it serve by portion, means that there is only one standard meal and a black coffee or tea. I mean it will be worth if they didn't charge...
