Kampung Lobster Banyuwangi 龙虾村 — Restaurant in East Java

In a week, we have visited this place twice. The first visit is on a weekday, and the second visit is on a weekend. When we first came here, we ordered the recommended menu at this place. The cooking process took quite a long time, even though at that time we were the only guests in this restaurant. And after the food was ready, we immediately tasted each food we ordered. All the food we ordered was very tasty, the taste was just right, the doneness was just right. We were satisfied with all the food we ordered. The 2nd visit, we re-ordered the food we had previously ordered with the addition of 1 other menu that we had not previously ordered because there was no stock. This time quite a lot of guests came. We thought the food would take longer but our estimates were wrong. The food is ready very quickly. We started enjoying our food. And here we feel the difference in the taste of the food we eat. The cooking spices are less pervasive, the taste is also different. Looks like they cooked it too fast. Please for this restaurant, don't change the spice measurements, cooking time and other things just because lots of guests come. Keep cooking food for the same time and seasonings so that the taste doesn't change quickly. And in my opinion the price of food here is a bit pricey but worth it. For price of drinks is...

This is a truly hidden gem in Banyuwangi. Access is somewhat hidden via small local road, but you'll get a nice seaside restaurant with private beach.

The ambiance is the best, you will dine next to the beach with stunning view of Bali strait. Service was a bit slow , but it was no issue at all since we were playing on the beach while waiting for our food.

We tried 3 menus:

Satay (sapi), which initially we thought a bit absurd to be served meat next to the beach, turned out to be fantastic. Satay was tender and tasted delicious. We did not expected this kind of flavour.

Their garlic butter fried lobster also super delicious. We had the medium serving, and it was enough to feed our family of four.

Lastly, we had their grilled squid with special seasoning, which also really good and tasty. It was a generous portion as well.

Too bad when we arrived, other menus such as fish, clams, and crabs were not available.

Great food combined with beautiful private beach make this a must to visit...

Found this place while roadtrippin back from Bali. Although the place is located not in main road but it can be easily found by following google map. Only 20 minutes from Ketapang harbour and voila! you can enjoy fresh seafood from the oven!

We ordered lobster garlic, blackpepper clams, and ikan bakar with signature recipe. Lobster come with generous portion and taste reaaalllly geewwddd!!! Ikan bakar is also tasty and grilled perfectly. What a bit dissapointing is the only the clams that come over-salted. The rest was splendid and exceptional!

Superb seating area with beach view. People can enjoy the beach while waiting the food which relatively took a bit long to served the seafood menu but surprisingly it served within tolerable time.

Did not took many photos and videos here due to starve to death (kidding) but all documentation from the other reviewer is real.

Although they have no public praying room, they have prayer area inside.
