Came here during the earlier hour of lunch time on a weekday (so it wasn't too packed but it was getting there, patrons started to arrive). I have to give my appreciation for the staffs cz they are incredibly friendly, kind, quick, attentive, and responsive here. We were greeted and assisted kindly and everybody is always occupied with something so efficiently so you don't see any of them just hanging around in the corners or chatting with each other, not one single staff. Which is a great thing, so productive and efficient. That way, they make sure that all patrons are being tended to and the food and place are kept up, refilled and clean all the time. It's so satisfying to watch.
As mentioned, the place is kept clean and this particular one branch is spacious making physical distancing easier for all of us. Hygiene and safety protocols are applied properly with staffs going around making sure that patrons who are in the buffets area are wearing their masks and gloves. I honestly feel safe dining in here. Now the food, the food is similar to what you'll find in any other Kojo branch (say, Bandung). They're good for the price, taste and variation-wise. Will definitely come again.
I'd defo suggest finding the least peak dining time to come here (weekdays as opposed to weekend, 2pm as opposed to 12 midday, etc) to really enjoy the whole dining experience. Coming on a Wednesday was the best decision for us, I can imagine how jam packed it'd be...
Read moreAtmosphere-wise, I can wholly felt the japanese nuance. The settings, table setup, interior, and decorations are really thematic and seriously thought wise.
As for the "all you can eat" concept. Our time at the restaurant were timed (90-120 mins) and there are rules to not waste the food as well.
Now let's move to the food. Just like what the name meant which is Shabu (Shabu-shabu) it means there is soup, food blanche, and other water boiling delicacies. And also they offer Yakiniku (basically anything that goes to coals/BBQ). There are two types of meat that are offered. Sirloin (with fat) and low fat meats. And there are various kind of Shabu-shabu delicacies. They also offer sushi, cakes, snacks, and bento-like side dishes.
Taste-wise, I would say some of it are good (some of the cakes, the sushi, and Tom yum soup) and most of it just so-so (compared to others similar concept restaurant).
Price-wise, well it is pricey in the perspective of average Indonesian wallet spending. However, the price is reasonable for the food that are offered and the quantity of it. If you were a foreigner in here than you would see that the price is actually cheaper than the usual price on your home country.
Final verdict, I would recommend it for Cibubur resident who seeks alternative from Hanamasa and searching for great nuance. Would give 8/10 and one of must try list that you should check on especially if you were...
Read moreThis place has become my go-to spot for all-you-can-eat. They actually offer both grill and shabu, but personally I always stick to the grill because that’s what I enjoy the most. The price is very budget-friendly compared to other AYCE places, yet the variety of food is impressive and keeps it exciting every time. Service is great, staff are attentive and friendly. The restaurant is also clean and has a cozy, comfortable vibe, which makes the whole experience even better. For me, definitely one of the best AYCE...
