This is one of my best meatball restaurant in Indonesia... Aan alongside with Aliang,Akiaw is the best among the rest... And they are relatives too the owner... Price is served with quality... I ordered the flat rice noodles with 5 tendon meatball and beef slices also the ice tea for drink... Cost 83 k IDR... Compared to Aliang the badak here is 20 k IDR,Aliang's 15 k IDR, added 2 meatball here is 18 k IDR, Aliang's 15 k IDR... But the meatball a bit larger here and the beef slices also a bit thick then Aliang's,but the portion of flat rice noodles is less than Aliang's... Really worth every penny... The soup is tasty also served with fried garlic and coriander... The tendon meatball is delicious and super meaty... The beef slices are soft & tender also superb combine with meatball and soup... Service is quick and polite... Atmosphere is like usual restaurant... They are very busy and crowded when I came and almost closed because running out of stock and already...
Read moreThis is an experience for Bakso-lover. I was invited by a local friend to this place since I enjoy Bakso. Bakso Aan serves up a piping hot Bakso with a very distinctive Medanese beef broth.
Place : The place can be quite crowded at lunch hour. I would arrive a bit early or late to avoid the lunch crowd as eating a hot bowl of bakso in a crowded room is not a comfortable way to spend an afternoon.
Cleanliness : Relatively clean.
Food : Delicious. Given the price, this place is a Go. One more thing that I like is that they serve Badak (picture included). Badak is a root-beer-like carbonated drink that is popular in north Sumatra as I was told. It can be hard to find in Java. This place manages to scarce up Badak for its patrons.
Overall: a solid 8/10 for those who enjoy bakso and/or a twist on the traditional and conventional...
