parking is quite spacious, the place is cozy too. seems like they are renewing to "Obonk Bistro"? not so sure but the steaks are wonderful! I'd say their menu now is similar to hlycw with more affordable price! for the drinks, I'd recommend the ice lime tea, a little sourness is perfect to wash your mouth in between your juicy steaks. 1st pic is obonk special cut, definitely my fav because of the thin cut, making the meat very tender for medium-rare or even well-done! 2nd and 5th pic is picanha meltique with different sauce. 2nd pic is bbq sauce paired with sliced potatoes and 5th pic is mushroom sauce with creamy spinach (I always order with this combo). 3rd pic is rendang pasta with saikoro beef (also my fav!), loving their saikoro beef as it very tender and juicyyy! I'd gladly order ONLY the saikoro beef if I can lol. 4th pic is boneless chicken leg, very so-so to me, meat is tender but no so juicy and seasoning is just, so-so hehe. last pic is their mille crepe cake, only 19k but I'm loving it! they kinda put a chocolate and orange sauce I guess? I like the sweet and sour combination, perfect as a dessert! also not in the pic but my mom tried their Menu Nusantara, a sirloin meltique with some kind of indonesian sambal paired with spicy kangkung. the kangkung is very traditional, and it is surprisingly a good combination for the steak. we really enjoyed it! recommended for those who...
Read moreThis is our first time coming here although we already know about this place for the longest time, first impression of the place are very good, it has a clean modern steakhouse styled interior, they have indoor area and 2 outdoor area (upfront and behind the indoor area) so its a plus for all you smoker out there , for tonight we order 1 local tenderloin with obonk style presentation, 1 mix platter hotel style presentation (all medium rare ) , 1 pasta napolitan, and 1 mongolian beef rice, we don't have any expectation about the food to be honest but this place really suprised us , the meat are tender and juicy and they served on point medium rare so its really complementing the meat, the sauce are great but the portion can be bigger, for the pasta are also great they used sliced beef in the napolitan sauce, the sphagetti are also al dente which is great, for the mongolian beef rice for me its just okay, they used saikoro beef topped with a sweet and sour sauce and big portion of hokben style coleslaw/salad..overall the food here are good., and the price are super cheap if you consider the quality of the food.. Well done obonk ! Definitely will come back to...
Read moreIt's been some years since i eat obonk!
They brought new concept in which the steak was incorporated with local touch they called "Steak Nusantara". Unfortunately, because i was not in the mood to experiment new things, i resort to the original kind of steak.
Their steak taste good and fair with the price. Even not at the level of those high-end steak restaurant, their steak quality still attend both for who are looking the original taste, and localized taste. The only downside was the waiter did not ask for the doneness of the cooked steak, so unless you request, they will cooked ur steak around well done, lol!
Definitely recommended for those who wanted for economically priced steak with hotel quality, or in which the local said "harga kaki lima, rasa...
