Nestled along Jalan TB Simatupang, Wajan Sunda offers a delightful culinary journey through the diverse flavors of Indonesia.
The food at Wajan Sunda deserves special mention. The menu boasts an array of traditional Indonesian dishes, each bursting with authentic flavors. From the sop buntut to the spicy nasi goreng, the food captures the essence of Indonesia on a plate. The taste is good.
However, one drawback that I noticed was the portion size. While the flavors were undeniably delicious, the portions were somewhat small for the price. As a hearty eater, I found myself wanting a bit more after each dish. For those with bigger appetites or sharing meals, this might be something to consider.
The restaurant's ambiance and layout contribute to a warm and inviting atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for a family lunch or dinner. The waiters were prompt and reasonably attentive.
On the downside, parking can be quite challenging, especially during peak hours. The limited parking space might require some patience to wait, or creativity to find a spot nearby. However, once you step inside the restaurant, the charming ambiance and flavorsome dishes will surely make up for any initial inconvenience.
Wajan Sunda is a thumbs up, especially for group dining. The food is good, though the portion sizes might leave some diners desiring more. The restaurant's warm ambiance and family-friendly layout make it an excellent choice for gatherings and casual meals. Wajan Sunda is definitely worth a visit, just be prepared for the parking challenge...

The parking lot is also wide, they charge 5K for parking fee. It has musholla at the ground floor.
Their special menu is Sop Gurame and Pesmol Gurame. Last time we came and ordered fried Gurame. The fish was fresh and delicious.
We also ordered fried squid, ayam kremes and chicken wings. Overall the foods are okay, but the chicken wings were a bit disapointing, because the pieces were so small and tasted like those ordinary frozen chicken wings sold in supermarket. I think they should make their own special recipe for it, instead of using the frozen product.
They serve free flow "lalap" and "sambal", but the variety of vegetables was not so much like ordinary sundanese resto, when we came. There were only cabbage and cucumber. Fortunately the sambals...
Β Β Β Read moreWill be the first and LAST time I went to this restaurant. My friend and I went to get out lunch here and my friend got 'something' that she didn't order. A FLY πͺ°, slip within the rice. My friend instantly complained to the staff and asking for the manager on duty, but he/she were not there and only a team leader that approach us while the other waiters kind of not want to serve us anymore. We complained and asked for the solution but sadly, their respond at first kind of judge us that we are the culprit before giving us the compensation of refund just the food that my friend order, while the rest of the order still have to be paid. We paid and leave but not with pleasure. We are so disappointed with the service and how they treated us. I hope no one will have this...
