Disheartened by Recent Price Increases!!!

We have been loyal patrons of Delicious Kitchen, enchanted by its diverse menu offering delightful choices like pasta, pizza, Indonesian cuisine, and tempting donuts. The quality of food coupled with reasonable pricing has always left us satisfied.

However, our recent visit brought an unexpected disappointment as we noticed a staggering 50% to 100% increase in certain food prices. The menu, ambiance, and location remained unchanged, making this surge in prices quite perplexing. While we understand that factors like inflation may impact costs, the extent of this percentage increase feels unjust and, frankly, misleading.

This sudden shift leaves us disheartened because, until now, we were genuinely content with our experiences. Sadly, these drastic price changes make it challenging for us to continue supporting this restaurant. We believe many others might share this sentiment.

We hope for a reconsideration of the pricing strategy to maintain the fairness and trust that initially drew us to Delicious Kitchen.

Honest review.

The place is pretty clean and has a cozy vibe. Staff are friendly and really involved, which I appreciate. But the food quality definitely needs improvement, and the waiting time is always over 30 minutes - even when I was the only guest or there was just one other table.

I ate here a few days while staying in town.

The “chicken steak” was just a piece of tough fried chicken. It came with mashed potatoes, but they weren’t made from real potatoes - just instant powder, and not mixed properly, full of lumps. I wouldn’t have ordered it if I had known.

The iced coffee didn’t have any espresso in it - it tasted like sweet coffee-flavored syrup. I get that espresso machines are pricey, but Indonesia has amazing local beans and great manual brew methods. That could actually be a cheaper and better option.

I also tried the bacon garlic pasta that many reviews mentioned - but sadly, it wasn’t really pasta. Just boiled noodles, a lot of oil, and seasoning that reminded me of instant noodles with flavor enhancers. So overall, food is 3/5 for me.

That said, the space is cozy and nice to hang out in. There’s even a cool thrift shop on site - I found a vintage jacket there that sells for $120–200 on Amazon!

Guys, this might be the best pizza on Bali. After eating Nasi Goreng for the 100th time while traveling Bali, I was hungry for pizza. But most places have really bad pizza on Bali. But this place makes a very very very good pizza. The crust is amazing, the homemade tomato sauce, everything. Part of the restaurant is a little shop.

Beside the amazing pizza this place was a lovely place to sit around as drink an ice tea. The whole family was hanging around the place, cooking, singing an even dancing. Just goofing around and messing with each other in a loving way. I loved watching that scenes. Neighbors were coming over and goofing around as well, while the dad was cooking family dinner. It made me happy to see the love in this place.

I was like I could watch an authentic Balinese family while living.
