R.STEAK POTIK — Restaurant in Kelapa Dua

I haven't been there myself, my friends did take away for me (when I was visiting their place). Ate the food around september 2020 before one of food blogger came and blast the place to another level of spotlight (around start of november 2020) Then I saw the ppl start to give bad rate for the place. So I'll try to share the food I tasted before: The steaks (I ate the menu of beef, chicken & fish) and sauce itself is good, I wouldn't say finger-licking good but it's definitely above the value of the price bcoz it's only cost around 30k IDR (2US$) for the menu I ate (wasn't believe it at 1st after my friends told me the price when I finished it). 1 of my regret is I ate it after awhile (my friend said it's already over 30 mins when I ate at their house's), so I think maybe if I ate it when it's fresh from the fryer/griller it'll taste much better. Planned to visit the place directly after the pandemic is over to have a real taste of the food. AFAIK the goals of the chef/owner was to serve high quality food with cheap ingredients to low-mid income class ppl, and I just found out from the food blogger video that the chef was actually an ex-sous chef/chef from SKYE Jakarta. So there u go why he can made quite amazing food from cheap...

Low budget with high quality food. Small outlet, bit floods in the surround when raining. Too bad when we went there, is on heavy rain, so the insects n bugs comes out from the drainage 😔 due to the bad water channel in Tangerang. Very limited parking lot, better to go there with bike/motorbike.

We went there because of the recommendation by Mgdalenaf the food youtuber. My favorite is the potatoes as the side dish. They cut from real potatoes, not french fries. Which not oily n bit salty. Other side dish is carrot n corn, the carrot is cut in abstract size n shape 😅 the sauce is cold, strong taste of nutmeg and black pepper.

The steak sirloin/tenderloin is not my favorite. I think they adjust the spice and the size of the steak, due to the low price. But the fish n chicken steak is...

I'll quite say, its not worth the price, this place is overhyped by the news, the taste is standard, the service is not quite good, dispite of the cheap price, i think there's other restaurant that gives more good experiences about steak with the same price range and higher quality, the meat, i got slice of meat that has quite large fat that cannot be eaten, pretty sure its not the type of steak u want for ur first...
