Osteria Gia offers an unforgettable culinary experience that brilliantly marries traditional Italian flavors with a modern twist. During our visit, we indulged in the Truffle Brie with Bread, Spaghettoni al Burro e Pepe, and Rigatoni alla Amatriciana. Here's a detailed look at our dining experience:
Truffle Brie with Bread The Truffle Brie with Bread was an absolute delight. The brie was perfectly creamy and slightly melted, topped with aromatic truffle shavings that elevated the dish to another level. Each bite was a harmonious blend of rich, earthy truffle and smooth brie, perfectly complemented by the crisp bread. The walnuts added a delightful crunch, while the arugula provided a fresh, peppery finish. This dish was an exceptional start to our meal and is a must-try for cheese lovers.
Spaghettoni al Burro e Pepe The Spaghettoni al Burro e Pepe was a testament to the beauty of simplicity in Italian cuisine. The pasta was cooked to al dente perfection, coated in a luscious butter and pepper sauce. The generous shaving of truffle on top added an indulgent touch, making this classic dish feel incredibly luxurious. The balance of flavors was spot on, with the pepper adding a subtle heat that was perfectly tempered by the creamy butter.
Rigatoni alla Amatriciana The Rigatoni alla Amatriciana was a robust and hearty dish. The pasta was perfectly cooked and generously coated in a rich tomato sauce, punctuated with crispy pancetta bits that added a wonderful texture and savory depth. While the sauce was a bit too sour for my personal taste, it was still a well-executed dish that showcased the robust flavors of Italian cooking. The fresh basil garnish added a lovely aromatic note that rounded off the dish nicely.
Truffle Carbonara Pizza The Truffle Carbonara Pizza was a showstopper. The thin, crispy crust was the perfect base for the creamy carbonara sauce, which was rich and flavorful without being overly heavy. The pizza was generously topped with slices of tender pancetta, adding a savory punch that complemented the creamy sauce beautifully. The highlight, of course, was the truffle, which added an intoxicating aroma and luxurious flavor to each bite. This pizza was a perfect fusion of classic carbonara and the comfort of a well-made pizza.
Overall, Osteria Gia delivered an outstanding dining experience. The dishes were beautifully presented, and the flavors were rich and authentic. The attention to detail in each dish was evident, making it clear that Osteria Gia is a place where passion for Italian cuisine truly shines. Highly recommended for anyone looking to indulge in a memorable...
Read moreFood was good, pasta was the star of the show. Dessert was unique, pizza was great.
Service was a bit disappointing, i asked if i could get another round of welcome bread, the first staff (pake jas) said he’ll check on it. Waited until all the main course was served and finished, then i asked again to another server if i could have another welcome bread bcs when i asked the first time, it wasnt delivered. She told me to wait a minute. But until i finished my dessert and paid for the bill, no welcome bread was given 💔. Mind you, i ordered 3 main course, 1 dessert, 4 drinks.. its not like i came in just to get the bread…
Apart from that i also asked for a water refill for my hot tea, up until we got out my refill was nowhere to be found lol.
Even when we got out, nobody. NOBODY. Said thank you for visiting. Greeters weren’t busy (no guests at the front at all), there were several staff that weren’t busy as-well (just standing around / polishing utensils)
Considering this isn’t a chinese restaurant i suggest ur staff be taught not to make such loud noise when clearing up something.. noises from plates were loud, banging cupboards when taking something, the atmosphere was just terrible and felt cheap.
Please teach ur staff some manners.. and if u don’t allow us to get another round of welcome bread, please tell us upfront and not make us wait while you...
Read moreI had the pleasure of dining at Osteria, a cozy Italian restaurant known for its authentic flavors and warm ambiance. I decided to try their Lasagna, Grilled Chicken with Mushroom Sauce, and of course, their famous Tiramisu for dessert.
The Lasagna arrived bubbling hot with perfectly melted cheese on top. The layers of pasta were tender, and the rich meat sauce was well-seasoned, bursting with tomato and herb flavors. Each bite was a comforting blend of creamy béchamel and savory beef, making it easily one of the best I’ve had.
Next, the Grilled Chicken with Mushroom Sauce was equally impressive. The chicken was tender and juicy, grilled to perfection with a slightly crisp exterior. The mushroom sauce was velvety smooth, with a deep, earthy flavor that complemented the chicken beautifully. It was served with a side of roasted vegetables that were cooked just right—soft yet still vibrant.
To finish off the meal, I couldn’t resist their Tiramisu. It was light and fluffy, with layers of mascarpone cream that melted in my mouth. The dusting of cocoa on top added just the right amount of bitterness to balance the sweetness. It was the perfect end to a delightful meal.
Overall, Osteria delivered on all fronts—delicious food, cozy atmosphere, and attentive service. If you’re craving authentic Italian flavors, I highly recommend...
