Kopi Sontoloyo — Restaurant in Kota Batu

Well... hard to say. This place is nice enough to get hangout with friends while enjoying the green scenery and orchards or the sunset. It is rather secluded. I appreciate the idea of giving traditional ambience. But frankly I personally prefer the place especially the furniture to be arranged better than this! It is dirty and untidy. I lost my appetite to eat when I saw those flies around and the dirty furniture. Being tradional/rustic doesn't mean that you don't clean it often or arranged them artistically. Jangan hanya menaruh barang ini itu, perhatikan juga penataan, kebersihan & kenyamanan customer, terutama saat mereka makan dan di musim hujan begini. If you visit Batu, be sure to drop by this place! The combination of natural surroundings and a vintage aesthetic creates a very pleasing atmosphere. Parking can be a bit tricky, but attendants are available to help. The service is excellent, and the staff are friendly and attentive.

As someone who is originally from East Java, I found that the flavors here didn’t quite match my local taste. Some dishes, including the serundeng, were unusually sweet and didn’t feel like the traditional East Javanese seasoning I’m used to.

Rustic and vintage concept or theme for the property, standart price. Not expensive but not cheap also, for the air is depend on the weather. Windy and breezy if rainy day, but hot if summer or at the noon. Outdoor concept, staff was nice and friendly. Toilette was clean and payment methode only cash payment. Location too far from the main road, make sure using google map. Taste from food and snack good, or leaning to standart. Good coffee for the sontoloyo coffee and try wedang susu ketan sontoloyo...
